Not bad. Strong coffee flavor. A bit tart. Overall a drinkable beer. Not worth buying again though.

Pours very dark brown, barely any head or carbonation. Smells like a dark coffee. Taste is light body, coffee, vanilla, very thin but good stout. I say all beers are easy to drink but this one was an easy drinker.

sample at Martin City Brewing Co. Pours dark black. Aroma of coffee grounds, peat, cocoa. Flavor is bitter coffee, peat. A smooth and mellow beer.

Pours a dark brown, almost black with a deep tan head. Coffee aroma is huge. It's matched by a deep coffee flavor: literally tastes like iced coffee. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Favorite coffee stout, equal Bly to Great Divide Cappuccino Stout. Iím a big stout drinker and like a full bodied stout, which this delivers. My wife and several friends, who are not big stout fans, all thought this was the best stout of 2012. Canít recommend strong enough. If youíre looking for something new from a small brewer, this is the new challenger on the block for Founders, Bells...

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. The nose is spicy coffee with some sweetness on the end. Nice balanced between the chocolate flavors and coffee. Tastes like a mocha. Very good. Thanks Bob for the beer.

Bottle. Black pour with a quickly fading tan head. Very nice roasted coffee and chocolate aroma that ends a tad thin. Taste is coffee and roast up front with a somewhat watery off flavor of sweet malt through the second half of the beer. Clean, somewhat thin mouthfeel.

Very dark, opaque color. Beige head. Creamy mouthfeel. Itís funny, these coffee flavored stouts, since a roasted malt combined with the right hops can provide nearly the same flavor, but this gives it to you in a milder version. Really good.

12oz. bottle. Hugely roasty, coffeeish aroma, whatever blend they chose is extremely dark and aromatic, with a faint hint of dark chocolate and cocoa, a tad of cream and sugary sweetness, but the espresso/coffee notes just dominate utterly. Brown-black in color with dark brown highlights and a thin, fading head. Flavor profile is hugely coffeeish as well, more of that supremely dark roast accented by a touch of dark, milky sweetness, roasty, black malts and lingering bitterness. This is a true coffee beer, in the sense that the coffee comes first, then the beer. Typically this is more of a complaint, but the coffee (espresso) they used in this is just so tasty that it totally works. Not overly dry and ashy like some other coffee stouts I have tried. Somewhat thin and effervescent on the palate, with a light-medium body. Very much like some sort of fancy iced coffee beverage, to the point where I can feel the effects of the caffeine in this stuff. Not something to have late at night, as a result.
