2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 gonzosauce (133) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - MAR 27, 2013
A tinny alt beer aroma. Pretty translucent orange/orange/brown. Empty flavor, if not a bit metallic. Carbonation is aggressive and constant. Not good, but fun. Blast off.

A solid offering from MCBW. Like all of their beers, Ghetto Blaster is an ideal session beer. The mouth feel is watery, carbonation is pretty low, and the taste isn’t overpowering. Although the taste of this one threw me off a little at first, I quickly grew to like it and wound up getting a pint of it when my sampler was finished.
Not the best beer I’ve had, but it’s a safe, enjoyable one. Would buy again.
2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 9/20 steeleliver (84) - Minnesota, USA - JAN 31, 2013
On tap (from it’s quirky tap), this was a solid session beer that I enjoyed quite a bit. Pour is a nut brown color, with little head. Barely present nose, maybe due to lack of head. Taste is of a brown ale, nuts and caramel. No deep intense flavor, but easy to drink.

This is ok, but it’s kind of an unremarkable example of a type of beer I don’t like so much.
If I were thinking about drinking a Bass, I might consider this instead-- almost as sweet, doesn’t have the interesting carbonation, slightly nuttier.
All in all it’s sweeter than I’d like, and doesn’t have a whole lot of complexity in the taste-- a bit of the nut brown ale thing along with the english ale thing, and that’s it.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 DrinkEmUpJones (992) - Georgia, USA - NOV 21, 2012
Hazy light caramel qith thin head. Almost no nose, but a light presence of nuts. Not a lot here flavor-wise, and a mor crisp palate than i would expect for the style.
1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 hopdog (7657) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 20, 2012
12oz bottle. Poured all head, settled to deep amber color. Aromas of grains and some funky nastiness. Tastes almost non-existent - maybe some nuts and caramel, but stretching.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 BMMillsy (686) - Florida, USA - OCT 13, 2012
Pours amber. Does not smell like much, maybe a slight malt in the nose. Where is the flavor?? I know this is a "mild ale", but there's just nothing here. Tastes like watered down malt. Blegh.

Pours a clear light brown color with a very small amount of head that fades quickly. Aroma is somewhat faint, mostly nuts and caramel with a hint of apple cider. Taste is mildly bitter, light nutty and chocolate flavor. Finish has an odd apple cider taste. Very very thin, seems watered down. Disappointing beer.

Brown color almost like apple juice. Smells pretty sweet with some coffee aromas. Sweet taste with some watery aftertates. Kind of like a coffee flavored candy. Different.
