I got it for the interesting name style and the fact that it wasn’t too expensive. Turns out its a solid beer, and tastes great. Looks more red than amber, but had some solid flavors. Caramel and a bit of honey are quite obvious in terms of taste, might have a bit of citrus and chocolate. After taste was good. I was shocked that it was only 5% ABV... it feels stronger. I would recommend it.

Bottle. Clean copper pour with a head that dissipated quickly. Caramel, brown sugar, nuts, grain. Light to medium body. Not a lot of flavor. Grainy sweetness. Short finish.

Cloudy amber color with a weak white head. Looks like an ESB. Smells like yard chem and tastes the same. There is somethin’ wrong.

EithCubes (5086) - New Jersey, USA - SEP 14, 2014
Bottle. Nose is medium roast, chocolate, coffee, nutty! Beautiful mixture of garnet highlights and a chestnut center, gradient with avg carb and a rocky beige head. Watery light body with roast and a touch of scorch, slightly tart/acidic but intentionally so, faint nuts with light sweetness and very little bitterness. Has some notable malt complexity (but not an amazing amount), light yeasty fruitiness and crystal-mineral character in the middle is more reminiscent of an English Bitter. Clean and downable!

Bottle. Pours burnt amber in color with a tiny head. Good carbonation. Grainy malts and bready notes dominate the flavor. Drinkable, but wouldn’t go for an all day session.

arminjewell (6414) - Lansing, Michigan, USA - AUG 16, 2014
Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy orange-red pour with thin to no head, aroma brought notes of grass, bread, some nuts, caramel, touch of grainy notes, eh. Taste is mix of grass, bread, biscuit, nuts, hints of toffee, some spice notes, finishing sweet.

chucklemation (561) - Pontiac, Michigan, USA - AUG 8, 2014
Pours an amber color with no head. Aroma is a very faint caramel. Flavor is similar: very faint caramel and malts, slightly sweet. Awesome name, but unfortunately too mild in every other aspect.

Patrickctenchi (4070) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - AUG 8, 2014
Bottle: Slightly hazy amber, small off-white head. Caramel, dull chocolate aroma. Weak, chocolate, woody taste. Slightly nutty... Not too bad, but very watery.

czar (4676) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 7, 2014
pours hazy if not cloudy dark golden orange-greyish with a small light beige orange head, little retention and lacing. spicy toasted grains and nutty toasted cereals, touc of caramel - never overdone, fruitiness - berries and oranges, light earthiness, leafy grassy notes, coffee and chocolate beans hints. moderately low carboantion, light body - not watery, dry earthy-grassy-herbal-spicy-peppery finish. nice mild - a pleasant surprise.
