1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
A borderline pour-down-the-sink porter. No particular aroma that could be associated with a porter. The taste was tingly sharp on the tongue and there was an unpleasant thinness to the body. Maybe I got a bottle that was all honey and nothing else, but this one--purchased at the brew pub--was nasty.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the brewpub. Poured a dark brown with a slightly yellowish brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a honey note that was back by darker malts and a slight roasted note. Flavor was sweet honey with slight roast and some coffee coming through in the finish. The beer had a nice creamy mouthfeel.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Shared pint at the brewpub. This beer presents an interesting combination. Overall, quite sweet with almost milky character, but slightly smoky as well. Respectable. (#3811, 1/23/2010)

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a small off white head. Aroma and taste is malty and coffee. Light hops. Taste is the same. Not really a fan, reminds me of some of the better stouts i’ve had, but just way watered down.

Bottle: Very thin for a porter. Looks and tastes more like a light brown ale. Ok beer.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. bottle. Poured a dark almost black color, big brown bubbly head, lasted quite a bit. Nose is Rosty grains with malts, and carmel hints. Taste is too carbonated, a bit too much to enjoy, had to let it sit a while to fully enjoy the roasted malts, chocolate, honey, coffee flavors. Just an alright porter.
