Something about this beer... I dislike it, yet I like it. It has an odd taste I can’t quit put my finger on when I first taste it, but it has an interesting enough after taste that I end up taking a few more sips. I’m not sure what I think of this... but out of the sampler I had, it was near the bottom. I think I’d try it again... My least favorite MCBW beer though, regardless.

The beer is golden / yellow hued, and mildly hazy. Upon agitating the beer, an eighth inch or so of head emerges, but only briefly. Minimal lacing. The aroma is foul. Honestly, the beer smells like piss and corn. There’s no way I could identify this as either a Czech or German pils based on either the taste or aroma. While the beer tastes a bit better than the scent might indicate, there’s nothing positive happening here. The body is thin, and the aftertaste leaves boiled veges, corn, urine, and a general cheap, macro lager taste in your mouth. Drain pour. Avoid. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-06-2011

Tastes like a light version of Sam Adams. No diacetyl, suprisingly good American pilsener.

Very drinkable/sessionable beer. Nothing too extreme or ground breaking in flavor, but a nice malty sweet after taste thats non offensive. Golden pale color, corny/grassy scent

Bottle sampled, has a hazy orange-gold pour with a white four finger head, this beer gave a strong stream of bubbles in the center in the glass, left some white sticky lacing on the sides of the glass, and there was a layer of light colored sediment in the bottle, this beer is not filtered, the initial aromas of grassy and floral hops, bread and honey sweetness were nice even though out of place for a pale lager or a Bohemian Lager (as the label states) but there was a fermented vegetable (old celery and lettuce) aroma in this beer, and this sort of kills the enjoyment, the flavors were of light malt, some lemon citrus, a bit of sourness, but has a little off flavor, not sure what it is, the finish has a little dryness but is not clean, this beer does not feel crisp on the palate, this beer looks nice but misses it everywhere else.

Pailhead (3859) - Brownstown, Michigan, USA - FEB 1, 2010
Bottle: The aroma is pretty weak and has notes of vegetables and a hint of sweetness. It pours a hazy dull yellow and a vigorous pours only yields a small fizzy head that quickly fades to a very fine ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts starts lightly sweet with some corn. The finish has light vegetal notes with some hints of grass. Light bodied with light carbonation.

Draft pint at the brewpub. Very light colored beer. Very malty, thru and thru, almost corny in nature, but quite drinkable and a nice alternative to the usual suspects for the timid. (#3810, 1/23/2010)

12 oz bottle. Pours a strong yellow color. Large amount of head. Aroma is light malt with a hint of hops. Taste is slightly bitter but a sweet aftertaste. Decent beer at best, not a lot of taste in this one.
