Is brewed using the same traditional methods brought to Detroit by bavarian immigrants at the end of the 19th century. The finest hops, pure Detroit water and barley malt combine to bring you the rich crisp flavor that made Detroit famous.

Tastes like a light version of Sam Adams. No diacetyl, suprisingly good American pilsener.

Slightly hazy shining gold. Nice white film. Floral and slightly citrusy nose is fresh and light. Restrained graininess. Mellow biscuit aspects, unbaked. Spicy floral saaz adds a smooth crispiness on the palate, light-medium bodied, very light flavor profile, but acts as a great refresher. Clean, smooth.

Draft pint at the brewpub. Very light colored beer. Very malty, thru and thru, almost corny in nature, but quite drinkable and a nice alternative to the usual suspects for the timid. (#3810, 1/23/2010)

Labelled as Motown Lager. The body is cloudy yellow with a bright white head. The aroma has notes of moldy dishrags and old rotting apples. There is also some cheap brandy. The taste has souring notes of sweat and apple cider that has gone apple jack. There is also some bologna. Nasty stuff.

Pailhead (4607) - Brownstown, Michigan, USA - FEB 1, 2010
Bottle: The aroma is pretty weak and has notes of vegetables and a hint of sweetness. It pours a hazy dull yellow and a vigorous pours only yields a small fizzy head that quickly fades to a very fine ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts starts lightly sweet with some corn. The finish has light vegetal notes with some hints of grass. Light bodied with light carbonation.

Grainy, earthy, herbal character to the aroma. Clear golden body with low, off-white head that recedes rapidly to a very thin ring. Grainy malts with a light farmy undertone and mild finishing bitterness. Light, watery body with carbonation that is overly strong and prickly. Sampled at the Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Beer Fest 2005.
