COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A classic example of a micro brewed ale. Its full malty body is balanced by the subtle tartness provided by fresh hops from the Yakima Valley of Washington state.

Moderate citrus hoppiness. Caramel, white bread crumbs and citrus peel. A bit dirty but not bad. Standard fare pale ale, not that thatís a bad thing.

This is just a GOOD BEER. Itís a safe pale ale thatís hard not to like. Of the beers at MCBW, this may be my favorite just ahead of their flagship Ghetto Blaster. Itís very mild, smooth, lightly carbonated, and with a watery mouth feel like most of the beers at this place. Iíd get another one if I were to visit again, for sure. Itís not unique by any means, but it still makes for an EXCELLENT session beer.

Bright clear yellow color with sticky white lacing. Mild aroma with some grass notes. Very easy drinking with a slight creaminess. Not a lot on the finish. Fairly one note.

Bottle bought from brewery. Very soft aroma, mild, a little musty. A little cloudy, gold / yellow color, white head. Mild taste, simple finish. Not a hoppy pale ale at all... not much flavor. Maybe something is lost in the bottling vs. at the brewery...

(draught at brewery) medium gold/amber with white head. Mild malt and hops aroma. Flavor is mild floral hops and malt. Iíd have called this more of an English style PA

Draft pint at the brewpub. Very bright beer, light orange and attractive. A beer with a light character, yet full bodied, with a nice citric flourish. Yummy. (#3809, 1/23/2010)

On tap at the brewery. This is a great example of "meets the style" and nothing more. Nothing stands out about this beer, good or bad. It’s black label IPA. Nailed the style, failed to move me.

on tap-pours a thin creamy off white head and cloudy yellow color. Aroma is medium malt-caramel, hint of hops. Taste is sweet medium malt-caramel, secondary hops (some seem to be mostly English).

Bottle: Not a bad beer, but a bad pale ale. I drank this right after their pale lager, so anything would taste good in comparision. Drinkable.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2007 Not one of the breweryís best brews, typical pale ale, with some malt and hops, very crisp, clean and drinkable would drink again, But there other brews are much better.
