Ins Glas ergießt sich ein milchig trübes gelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig fruchtig, Gewürze, Citrus. Geschmack fruchtig, hefig, metallisch, würzig, leicht säuerlich.

Very hazy golden body with very stable head. Looks almost like proteins were added with that stable foam. Anyway, aroma is nice and different than most French blanche beers, less citrus and more white bready. Quite a yeasty, but as in a prepared cake, I quite like it. Spritzy mouth feel. What starts as surprisingly fresh, considering the aroma, taste develops in a surprisingly hoppy aftertaste. This is bit my favourite style by any means, but I can totally see myself sipping this in the spring sun, where the yeasty presence gives you a fuller feeling than your stomach has to take. (33cl bottle from biomache in Tours)

gyllenbock (5268) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 22, 2014
Bottle from Brune Rousse Houblon, Nice. A bit hazy golden/yellow with a white head. Aroma and taste of light spices, wheat, citrus and light malt. Low bitterness and with a soft carbonation. A bit thin.

Idiosynkrasie (4446) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAR 17, 2014
330ml bottle. Cloudy, yellowish, pale golden colour with average to huge, foamy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Wheaty and slightly herbal aroma, a touch of brine (Wurstwasser), hints of yeast, resemblance to a Grisette. Taste is minimally tart, salty, herbal, slightly wheaty, yeasty. Untypical Witbier (obviously not traditionally spiced) with inclination to the Saison style. Not bad.

Bottle 330ml (Saveur)
Slightly hazy yellow color, decent white head. Aroma has some banana, spices, metal and light citric notes. Medium-bodied. Citrus, light overriped banana notes. A bit peppery finish. Refreshing witbier this style is not my cup of tea.

330 ml bottle. BB Oct/13. From saveur-biere.com.
Hazy light brown colour with a small white head. Yeast, citrus and mild spices in the aroma. The flavour is rather nice with yeast, wheat, mild citrus and some spices. Tasty and quite enjoyable. Yeasty aftertaste.

Quack-Duck (8338) - Down South, GERMANY - MAY 28, 2013
bottle from saveur-biere.com. Hazy pale yellow, creamy white head. Wheaty, yeasty, slightly fruity with some spicy hops - closer to a Bavarian wheat beer than to a witbier, imho. Very nice.

75cl bottle from Brune Rousse Houblon in Nice, France. Pours a cloudy yellow colored body with a finger-width, creamy and frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is lightly sweetened, bready wheats with some orange peel, yeast, and a slight citrusy tartness. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened, somewhat bready and grainy wheats with a light orange peel and some yeasty spice. Finishes clean and fairly dry with a faint bitterness. Short aftertaste following a medium-light body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a decent wit. Not a whole lot going on, but balanced, clean, and easy drinking. Not bad.
