"Moulins d’Ascq is a top-fermenting beer, based on malt and hops of certified biological growing. Natural beer, not pasteurised, not filtered, one should serve relatively cool (8-10°C). Keep upright."

Shared with wim at wim’s place. Hazy blond colored beer with small white head and lots of carbonation. Herby spiced granny aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is spicy hopped bitter.

Malt, honey, and lemon zest nose, very bready. Hazy amber, thick head, good lacing. Bready honey, little hop notes, but some subtle grassiness. Slightly buttery, but it works. Full body, alcohol a little strong. Not one of the better Belgian beers, but still quite enjoyable. I have no problem calling it a Biere de Garde.

Couleur jaune trouble, petite mousse blanche. Nez fort malté orge, bonnes note legume et paille. Malgrés tout gout fruité et legumes assez sec , fin maltée levures.

PotjeBier (1762) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 28, 2014
On tap @ Pulp Kitchen, Lille. Golden blonde color. White head, with pretty good lacing. Aroma’s: Grain, malt, light sweetness, some fruit. Retronasal there’s a lot of sweet & sour fruit. Flavor is light sweet, fruit. Light to medium bodied. Finish is somewhat dry with just a hint of bitterness. It’s nice that it’s organic, but it’s a rather average French blonde (I woudn’t call it bière de garde).

Bottle from Carrefour Supermarket, Calais, France. Hazy golden coloured with a gentle malty and spicy fruity flavour, lemon and vanilla notes with a creamy yeasty finish.

Bottle: Clear, yellow-gold with a huge, but quick white head. Wheat, lemon, unripe banana scent. Taste is yeasty, banana/lemon, cloves... Like a barnyard hefe....... Not bad...creamy and light for the ABV.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes orangegoldenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, Gewürze, blumig. Geschmack würzig malzig, hefig, leicht fruchtig, Kräuter.

Dobre tresciwe i ekologiczne w dodatku piwo. Pieknie pachnace chmielem, suszona trawa, W smaku trawiasto zbozowe z lekka doza slodowosci ale takze i chmielowej goryczkowej nuty. Piwo o pieknej puszystej i bardzo trwalej pianie, koloru jaskrawo zoltego, metnego i z licznymi tanczacymi babelkami.

Golden light misty body, very stable head. Doesn’t look bad at all and again a super firm foam from this brewer. Odd. Aroma is straightforward light malts and a boring yet present Belgian yeast. Light sweetness to it that I don’t like. Simplistic taste too, light malts and quite active, in fact too heavy, carbonation. Carbonated water, sugary malts. Not nice at all. What happened here? Looks nice but a failure overall. (33cl bottle from biomache in Tours)

Bottle 330ml (Saveur)
Slightly hazy orange color, steady white head, some lace. Light nose has fruity and malty notes. Medium-bodied. Light fruity flavor (mango, apricot), some overriped banana, grainy maltyness, yeast. Simple blonde. And of course it is not "biere de garde" but Belgian ale/blond.
