UPDATED: SEP 23, 2005 12 oz. can. First thought after opening this - ’Good Lord, it does smell like bubble gum’ ! Pale yellow with a decent white head. Watery with flavors of more bubble gum, rubber and lots of sweetener. I think I’ll just skip the finish if nobody minds.

In the can at the Huber Haus Wisconsin Beer Tasting. Pale yellow with a white head. Surprisingly decent head! Heavy corn sugar in this puppy. Not a hop to be found. No aftertaste, no finish. At least the can was union made. I hear that you can sometimes buy a whole case of this for $5-6.
1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 Lubiere (8335) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 7, 2005
Pale yellow lager with barely a thin white head. Sweet chemical bubble gum aroma with a hint of sulfur emission. Rather week and watery in mouth, like a slightly sweetned mineral water.

Picked up a six of Minhas Creek, an alias of Mountain Creek. Pours a golden yellow...that’s where the fun ends. Smells like chlorine, tastes like a mixture of bubble gum and rubber. One of the worst I have ever tasted.

Yellow color. Aroma of wet and moldy sugar. Tastes a little like dried apples.

Called Mountain CREST in Alberta and now Minhas Creek in Manitoba and rumoured to be named something else again in Ontario. From the dates on the ratings it may have appeared in Alberta before Huber brought it out in Wisconsin. Not sure how many times the same beer needs to be on the site under aliases. Sort of like supermarket beers. I told my dad if he wasn’t going to drink beer he might as well get corn-water as cheap as possible and buy this. I can’t believe I had not put a rating yet. Gold colour. Almost no head, even in a Chimay glass (sacrilege). Smells like cheap beer. Flavour is like the warm bottom quarter of a macro lager (gasoline and paint thinner) and artificial sweetener. No finish.

I just tried the Mountain Crest Jack’s all american lager and if this is a different beer I’ll eat something from Fear Factor. Same bad aroma, rubbery corn taste. Malty sweetness. Weak.

sub-par beer. I drank this from a can being that a glass wasn’t available or worth using. Corny/watery flavor, no real malt or hops to speak of. Basically your average college swill beer, not the worst I’ve had, I wouldn’t turn down another can I guess. Good for a post-summer farm work drink. about the same as OLd style lacrosse gluek schmidts all that stuff

Wow...the colors remind me of another bad beer...maybe Molson Canadian??? Well this beer doesn’t taste much better...but I guess its cheaper. Thin head, gold color malt and hop flavors are barely noticable.

Can. $1.59/six pack. When poured in a glass it has a strange banana smell. Extremely sweet corn water. STRONG presence of corn. Very syrupy. Probable corn syrup. There is more corn in this "beer" than in all of Iowa, Nebraska, & Wisconsin combined. Corn should be used in whiskey only, not beer. Even as an alcohol delivery system this sucks. Too awful to be able to drink enough of it to get a buzz.
