1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Powertrip (999) - Calgary, Alberta, - JUN 9, 2012Single can purchased from a mom & pop store in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on 06/01/2012. Colour: Medium yellow with white lacing. Nose: Smells like half stale pure white Wonder Bread. Oh wait....Wonder Bread doesn’t ever go stale...my bad. Hints of peach as well. Taste: Medium-high sweet, light bitter, light sour. I actually believe that if they lowered the sugar content of this one, it would have score maybe a 2.0, but instead it is just a sugary mess for those how just want alcohol and aren’t concerned about what they are drinking.
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Narnad (1346) - Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA - DEC 16, 2012
Ugh. Pours very clear with a faint yellow color and a tall, bubbly white head that falls very fast. Aroma has a wet grain nose, some corny character in there as well. Flavor is very grainy, sweet apple present, harsh finish. Body is light with a lot of fizzy feeling. Overall nothing special, not too offensive but just not great, even if it is cheap. Doesn’t live up the web address listed on the back of the can, www.damngoodbeer.com.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20 ronaldtheriot (811) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - AUG 28, 2012
Mountain Crest (Mountain Creek or Minhas Creek) has a medium, quickly dissipating head, some splotchy lacing, and a clear, bubbly golden appearance. The aroma is of sickly-sweet green apples and musty grain. The flavor is of sweet, Jolly Rancher apple-flavored candy, tartness, grain, and a dash of hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Mountain Crest finishes harsh, ragged, and unpleasant (to an extent). Overall, this is at best an average beer, but it does has some character, even it it’s a bad character. Try it, but you’ll probably not like it. RJT
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Headbanger (2489) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - AUG 22, 2012
12oz can Old Rating-Pours clear golden with a white head and an aroma of corn and malt. Taste of corn. This is another light bodied pale lager.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 reebtogi (3388) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 8, 2012
355ml can pours a pale golden color with a finger of white head that disappears quickly and leaves no head. Aroma is cereal grains and grass. Taste is light malty sweetness with a grassy and metallic bitterness that is just not desirable at all. Come on Ravinder ... if you can’t brew a craft beer, take that middle name from your brewery, or drop the "ft" and add a "p".
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20 crossovert (4775) - Wisconsin, USA - JUL 8, 2012
"Mountain Crest". 16 oz can. Was only 2 bucks for 4 cans. It is a cheap lager, nothing else really to say.
0.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 Digglesby (3) - Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 23, 2012 does not count
I bought a 6 of this a couple of years ago but never rated. This is the kind of beer you don’t feel sorry pouring down the drain. You get what you pay for - and when you’re paying next to nothing, that’s what you get. Absolute swill.
