2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of peaches and citrus fruits on a caramel back drop. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and over ripe fruits, leading to a bitter finish. Not a lot of hops for an IPA.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 64 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours a hazy golden with a lacing off-white head. Sweet citrusy hop aroma. Medium body, sweet fruitiness, dry citrusy hoppiness and an almost astringent finish. Well made - clearly not an American or a British IPA - this is something different, but in a good way. 180911

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Good looking amber orange under a tight compact 5mm tan head. Sweet fruit aroma with some citrus and pine. Flavour is sweet and malty then dry hops after. It’s weighted to the malty side with a good body, carbonation and quite smooth. Has a lengthy bitter finish. Pretty good for me.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. ANOTHER Aussie IPA scared to forgo the big malt base. Who’s afraid of the big bad hop? Still, better than when they had their regular IPA. Big tawny malt caramel body with whiffs of citrus and pine emanating off the loch. Full bodied for 5.7%. Could be so much more, but survives as a decent American PALE ALE. Cut down on the crystal malt over reliance please guys.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Nut brown - dark amber body, with a large tan head. Moderate to highly carbonated. Taste-aroma: Resinous, citrus pith/marmalade, with a toasty-biscuity sweet body, but a significant bitter finish. Medium bodied. Nice.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from a while ago. Hoppy on the nose with some tropical notes, the taste was a beautiful combination of the strong grassy hop and a rich sweet caramel and toffee malt. Nice bitter finish

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle (in NZ) courtesy of BozoNZ. This didn’t do it as much for me. I wasn’t picking up too much on the nose, and the malt on the palate felt a little blah. Not sure why I didn’t get this.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
650ml bottle. Thick creamy sand coloured foam sits atop a copper coloured base, looks great and is packed full of caramel malt and hop aromas that jump out of the glass. The flavour doesn’t disappoint with rich malty flavours that sit in the mouth and linger. This is definetely a rare breed.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
640mL bottle, 6.2% ABV. Pours clear gold with a small and short-lived off-white head, leaving some lacing. Reasonably strong floral, citrusy and tropical fruit hop aromas over honey and caramel. Medium sweetness and bitterness with a reasonable level of hop flavour and a slight sourness coming through. Light-medium bodied, soft and smooth carbonation, and a little sticky with a lingering finish.
