COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a Hop Driven, Malty Ale with a strong bitterness thanks to a good dose of Citra and Galaxy hops. Its a tough nut, but loveable all the same.

Those of you that loiter in bottleshops in your spare time will probably have noticed that our Rare Breed IPA is no longer a Rare Breed. She’s become an all-grown-up fully-fledged member of the permanent range. …And like the doting parents we are, we’re super proud of her. She still has the same big tropical hop aroma – we dry-hop using Galaxy (Tas), Citra (USA) and Motueka (NZ), and full malty body (Ale malt, Wheat and Crystal malts). Specs are: 6.2% abv, 65 BU…one for hopheads and beer nerds everywhere.

330 ml bottle. Tuulensuu, Tampere, Finland.
Clear deep golden amber colour with a small white head. Fruity and piney hops, sweet caramel and mild bitterness in the aroma. Very sweet candy hops, mi bitterness and sweet malt in the flavour. Not very tasty. Too much caramel & candy.

Flaske: Gul uklar øl med et fint skumhoved. Duften er mærkelig urtet med en smule malt. Smagen er også urtet på den rigtig ufede måde. Drikbar øl men bestemt ikke nogen nydelse.

Very good and balanced India pale ale, quite easy to drink anyway. Not very memorable but absolutely enjoyable.

Bottle at Black Door. Dark amber color, white head. Bitter taste with grapefruit, hops, mango, resin and a bit of caramel. Bitter finish with grapefruit and resin. Good, enjoyable IPA.

Bit too sweet and malty, decent piney aroma. Dark amber, bit sticky after a while. Quite floral and bitter, not much citrus.

a malt driven IPA that lacks much hop aroma and flavour. It is like it was there and it has been baked out. The only bottles I have had have been fairly oxidised and not the freshest. A IPA that tastes much better than the US aged imports but not Australia’s finest. Malt sweetness, low hop aroma and bitterness prevail

Bottle@ahven. Amber clear, chestnut tones. Malty slightly sweet caramel nose with some nuttyness and herbal piney hops. Full flavoured body, dry, well bittered. Not harsh though, feels just powerful, packing a punch. Real nice body and flavours. Good start to these aussie weeks here.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Hilpeä Hauki, 20131001) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had pine, fresh grass and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, pine, malts, hint of caramell and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A good hoppy brew. Despite the long trave the beer appeared to be in quite good condition.

(Bottle) Amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy off-white head, leaving traces of lacing. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, orange peel, pink grapefruit, lychee, caramel and a touch of ginger. Fruity taste with notes of citrus peel, grapefruit, dried apricots, hints of rye bread, lychee and a finish with a fresh citric, floral bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Lots of taste and fresh hops, still well balanced and highly drinkable. Nice one.
