4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Really, really nice beer. Found beer to have the base mountain goat flavours but far more mellow, less robust but never lost any of the amazing aroma and taste I enjoy from the mountain goat brewery. Will be stocking up on this one!

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
6.2% version, arrived via post today, cheers Cam. Lovely colour, as bright and clear a a beer gets. Lovely aroma combines the lightest touches of pine, light citrus and herb. Fantastic weight and texture, it just wafts over the palate. Enough balance of sweetness all round hop freshness and lingering finish. Really delightful....

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
650ml bottle. Thick creamy sand coloured foam sits atop a copper coloured base, looks great and is packed full of caramel malt and hop aromas that jump out of the glass. The flavour doesn’t disappoint with rich malty flavours that sit in the mouth and linger. This is definetely a rare breed.

This is my current fav swilling beer, I think I’m at about 10 cartons over the last 4 months. Best oz session beer? Could be! Pours deep amber red with sml-med head. Smells hoppy, pine, fruit & malt. Tastes like a great mix of hops, a little fruity, quite malty and finishes bitterly. Those mountain goat guys do it good. Props.

Good nose. Maybe the maltiest IPA I've had. Starts off sweet and stays with you. Nice malty twist on an IPA

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: MAR 6, 2010 Bottle 650ml. Delicious. Aroma of pine, spice, and caramel. The taste has a great balance, with a sweet start and a long-lasting bitter finish. Palate is velvety, with a medium body and a spicy-hot mouth feel. Light brown, with a long-lasting frothy head.
Re-rate: When I tried it on tap the taste seemed much sweeter.

Like the malt flavour coming through. Didn’t get the citris taste that others claim like a sierra Nevada.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Exceptionally good beer. Nice aroma of tropical fruit and a dark amber colour with thick beige head. Flavour is initially sweet malt that gets progressively biscuity and finishes with a firm but not over the top bittering finish. ABV is about right and balance is spot on.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: OCT 24, 2012 From a 640ml bottle on 20/11/2011. Pours a dark orange with a big lasting head. Has a decent fruity hop and caramel aroma. Has a sweet caramel malt backbone with a nice hoppy finish. Certainly not over the top by IPA standards but enjoyable. Rating 3.6.
Re-rate - From a 330ml bottle on 24/10/2012. Appears to now be a Mountain Goat standard. Not much different to what I’ve said above, other than the head is less prominent, and I think I was more than a little harsh with the rating the first time. Just a really solid American style IPA, with a lovely sweet/bitter balance.
