3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Davros (1477) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 12, 2013
Pours ruby-tinged dark amber with a small off-white head.
Nose shows resinous pine and some juicy fruits alongside loads of caramel and bready malt.
Same story with the flavours, lots of rich sweet malt with some resinous pine. Bitterness doesn’t quite manage to balance the heavy malt.
Carbonation could be a fair bit higher, it might even cut through the sweetness then.
Extremely malty for an IPA but still very enjoyable.

Tap. Hazy brownish orange pour with a fluffy, lasting white head that leaves lots of lacing. While the aroma has lots of fruity hops it also has a solid malt profile, with notes of passionfruit, orange, grapefruit, caramel and nuts. Flavour pretty much mirrors the aroma, striking a nice balance between the malty sweetness and the hoppy bitterness. Fairly slick mouthfeel with prickly carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall a good IPA, nice but fairly run-of-the-mill.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Mattburns (109) - USA - JUN 27, 2010
2 separate experiences with this beer. First one was disappointing. Lacked flavour and bitterness. Second experience: awesome! big tropical fruit hop flavour. Bitterness was just great.
Good looking beer. Thick head. Heaps of lacing.
A really good IPA!!

Draught (at the brewery bar). This one was full of hoppy goodness, while still have a great chewy malt base. The Galaxy hops come through big time.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 mkel07 (2340) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - NOV 6, 2009
330ml bottle. Deep orange russet colour with a well compacted head that looks good when poured into the glass. Inviting aromas of floral hops that allure you in with citrus notes breaking through. Slight tartness in the finish and a mellow bitterness in the mouth. Overall a good effort.

Good appearance but stops there. Rubbery, musky. Not aged but unpleasant. Disappointed
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 davidm (1774) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - OCT 9, 2009
Tap. Hoppy and tasty. Aroma has grass, and fruit. Flavour produces nice bitterness, and good duration. Medium bodied in the palate. Copper in colour, with a long-lasting head.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jonno (2001) - JAPAN - AUG 30, 2009
This is not really hoppy enough to call itself an IPA. It’s a respectable drop, but don’t come looking for hops. Very malty. Disappointing.

Had this one during my holiday in Australia april/may 2009. Copper colored brew. Floral aroma. Aggressive bitter hops. Nice hoppy aftertaste. Nice.
