UPDATED: SEP 15, 2005 These guys have picked up their act since they first started, this beer is now a nice crisp pale ale, no longer the messy homebrew they used to sell. golden, slightly cloudy, heading toward APA territory.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2003 Wow, thanks to Aaron who bought a sixy of this to our place the other night. I like the stuff from this micro. This one's a little lightweight compared to the hightail ale but still has a pretty cool hallertau thing going on and went down hell quick: when I'm in the mood I can slam 'em down like a youngster. Out of jugs at the Royal Oak in Balmain: Compared poorly to hightail which itself isn't all that great. A fairly tasteless pale ale in the spirit of Coopers' recent loss of quality. N.B. This review is dedicated to the restoration of peace in the Middle East.

Consistently descriptive of honey and spice, yet it struggles to be great as it is a bit thin and unimpressive. The GG stable is good so the GGuys can be given a bit of slack. I like the concept of commercial experimentation so I support their goals. Kick some more dudes.

pretty yeasty stuff with some sweet, wheaty malt. doesn't quite seem to know what it is trying to be. drinkable enough

Can’t argue with the commercial description. Nice fat, bitter aftertaste. Very thirst quenching and tasty. I’ll definately buy it again, and I like it more than the hightail ale from the same brewery

Re-rate: quite different for a pale ale, maybe a bit overcarbed (well, my bottle was this time anyway), slightly honeyish aroma, dry hoppy palate, slightly yeasty, slight metallic bitterness towards the finsh, blandish, but refreshing, bit of a rough palate, a bit unbalanced and unclean.

Great honey and hop aroma, not to bitter aftertaste, has a destinctive spicy taste.

Sweet hop aroma, opaque bronze with negligible head. More malt flavour than the Macedon Pale Ale and bitter at the end in a better way with a little spice.

Very slight haze, blond; honeyish, hoppy aroma; mellow bitterness; melony, piney hop; light-bodied; refreshing finish.

cloudy straw colouyr, nice thick creamy head, malty nose. would agree with lable ’spicy hop bitterness’
