Bottle at CGarvie tasting. It pours deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is mellow roast, coffee, molasses and light spice. The taste is roasted malt, cola, earth, bitter coffee grinds and light tanginess with a dry finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. A bit thin and not a whole lot of flavour....

Bottle. Black with pretty much no head. Faint molasses aroma, dark fruits. Not much flavour, little roast and dark fruits. Fizzy and slightly sour. Not much going on here

Smallish brown head. Opaque black body. Earthy funky chocolatey aroma with spicy wooden roasted sugar notes. Sweet-acidic earthy funky chocolatey taste with vinegary wooden notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry-acidic spicy wooden vinegary aftertaste with chocolatey earthy funky sooty notes. I don’t think it’s meant to be this way, but the effect is not bad, kind of like a stout saison. (0.64l bottle, from Kihoskh, Copenhagen.)

Clear dark brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt, caramel, chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, weak dark malt, raisin - prune, thin. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20121109]

Bottle. Black with a small beige head. Aroma is very discreet with notes of raisins, prunes, roasted malt, coffee. Taste is gentle and mild with the same notes as the aroma along with some caramel and chocolate. Nothing extreme or groundbreaking, but very pleasant and drinkable. Lots of info on the label. These guys must be readers.

Bottle, 64 cl. It’s a dark brown beer, mostly clear it seems, and with a small, dark beige head. The aroma is mostly roasted, with a faint berry-sourish touch. Prunes and grass too. The flavor is pretty much the same, pleasant but a bit boring. Prunes, some notes of licorice, and lots of roasted malts. Short, roasted finish with some prunes. A rather boring one. 121109
