COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An IPA matching coffee to hops. Coffee can be full of fruity aromatic character, and we all know what hops do to an IPA. Here we’ve made them sing together. Same choir, same song.

Note: Uses Nicaraguan beans from 7 Seeds and Cascade and Galaxy hops.

2013 bottle. Yellow/golden/amber, sml- med head. Smells..grapefruity citrus hops, caramel, sniffing hard for coffee though. Tastes grapefruit, piney and resinous, some caramel and it’s quite nicely bitter. Apart from being sensational.. it was not at all a coffee exp for me.I had one of these last year in Brisbane, it was memorably coffee delicious. This is a very good ipa all the same.

Pours brown amber. Aroma is hoppy caramel. Flavour has almost no discernible coffee flavour but is heavy on the hops. Very good ipa but needs more pronounced coffee to be called a coffee ipa ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy dark gold pour with a thin white head. Tiny bit of coffee on the nose, some caramel, but mostly big floral smell. Fairly mild bitterness at first with some smokiness, hint of espresso, stone fruits, and then the bitterness cuts through nicely at the end. Very moreish.

Bottle. Pours a dark golden with a solid white head. Nose has pine, grapefruit, citrus and sweet caramel/coffee malts. Taste is really fruity blending with roasted espresso. Coffee blended in beautifully leaving mild bitterness and is easy going on the palate. Great beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. It poured a deep golden color with a white head. The aroma was fruity hops with coffee and a little caramel. The taste was bitter coffee, peaches, some passion fruit and a hint of citrus. Tasty.

Someone out there knows what I like and has bottled it. Opened one of these after a couple of disappointing ’entrees’. An absolute winner on all counts. Love the Goat!

Sampled at an esbls tasting. Almostclear golden copper. A small off white head. I did not think this would work but it does. Coffee is gentle and tne hops are floral and lightly fruity. Not great but tasty.

Hmm seeing a combination of Mountain Goat & Seven Seeds got my interest as one is a fav brewer and the other a fav roaster. There isn’t a lot of hint of coffee on the nose, the aroma totally dominated by hops. Flavour wise it is a pretty good IPA with good balance of malt and hops plenty of stonefruit in there and finish is quite bitter. To be honest if I wasn’t told coffee was in there may not even know it, but when you think about it, done correctly it should just be adding bitterness like hops. The Mountain Goat rare breeds are becoming consistently excellent and this is no different.

640ml Bottle. Hazy golden amber with moderate carbonation and a relatively reserved head. Lovely floral aroma. Strong bitter tiuch, although not as much coffee as expected. Still very nice though.
