The Steam Ale is a crisp, certified organic ale. We incorporate a slap of wheat malt in the grist make-up and ferment it cool. We use Cascade and Citra hops to give it a fresh, zippy finish. Great as the weather warms up.

Drunk from the bottle. Faint aroma of wheat and grass, a touch of citrus. The taste is also quite subdued, hints of the aforementioned but mostly just a carbonated bitter lager malt feel. It is quite clean and easy to drink but uneventful. For quenching more than to experience flavour.

4.5%ABV. Steam Ale. Tapped out clear blonde. 4ºSRM. Nose is sweet and beery. There are white bread and wheat flour aromas. Mouthfeel is watery. Palate is cleanly one note with wheat flour, some Granny Smith fruity freshness. No hops.

Average white frothy head. Fair lacing. Mostly diminishing. Dark yellow clear thin body. Aroma: fruity (pineapple), moderate hops (high quality). Initial flavor: moderate sweet (honeyish and fruity). Final flavor: moderate sweet light bitter; long duration. Palate: light medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, metallic finish. Tasty sweetness, although it was a little cloying. Lacks balance. USD 6.5 50s

Light and thin body carries subtle citrus and spice and, because of the wheat, banana. Wheat in beer can be great in microscopic quantities, and I was hoping that would be the case here. But it’s not, which is a pity because I hate banana flavour in beer and I would have quite enjoyed this little quencher without it.

From bottle in tapered shaker. Pours hazy golden with frothy head and aroma of yeasty fruit bread. A bit of sweetness in the finish as the hop profile is fairly subdued. A good summer brew and makes great beer bread!

BB 10.06.16. Poured a hazy pale golden colour with a one-finger white frothy head that retained well and laced well. Carbonation high and quite coarse. Aroma subtly of malt with a hint of citrus. Tastes the same, all quite subdued. Light body. Finished somewhat crisply and a bit dry. Ordinary

Thin head that sizzles down after about 20 seconds but leaves a reasonable amount of lacing around the edges. A misty straw colour with lots of carbonation. A very clean, slightly clinical aroma with some touches of mango. The mouthfeel is one powered by the aforementioned carbonation with some oily characteristics. The taste replicates the cleanness of the aroma with some hay characteristics from the malt balanced by a somewhat fruity grapey hop. Overall quite a bland beer that leaves a lot to be expected, nothing special but might be quite refreshing on a hot day.
