COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Botlle, special
Local folklore tells of a one eyed, blind and headless beast that terrorized villagers and farmers alike. Only a bullet made from shamrocks and tree sap could dispense of this horrific creature. No one knows if it actually worked or what it had to do with beer. Green Bullet Pale Ale is based on that famous weapon and not because we use New Zealand green bullet hops. The result is a light golden coloured ale with subtle notes of pine and lemon in the key of F minor. Green Bullet is a light refreshing golden coloured American style pale ale with subtle flavours of pine and lemon and a smooth light body.

Bottle at EBBC14, golden with a thin head, pale biscuit and a little honey nose, drier and more bitter than the average golden ale.

humlelala (1012) - DENMARK - JUN 21, 2014
(33 cl botle from Whelan’s off-license in Camden, Dublin; BBD: April 30th 2014 - so expired, sorry!) Pours a clear golden with little off-white head that fades leaving nothing. Aroma is grainy and slightly accrid with notes of hay and citrus. Oily texture, lively carbonation, light body and a slightly accrid finish. Flavour is slightly malty and a bit accrid. This was probably better when fresh.

Appearance: light orange, almost zero head. Aroma: lemon/lime notes, wet cardboard, damp grain. Flavour: wet cardboard, a hint of hops, a little grassy. Very weak mouthfeel. A hint of hops in the finish. Very dull. I had high hopes.Nice branding though.

beerfest5 (1147) - Dublin, IRELAND - MAR 30, 2014
Bottle at home, poured into a pint glass. Aroma is floral hops, biscuit bready malts, some over rip fruit in the taste, mostly overly sweet in the finish, cloying.

Keg @ Swagman, Sligo [020114]
Light amber, slight haze, thin white head, some lacing
Aroma - light sweet fruity pale malts, slight berry fruits, light aroma, little going on
Taste of soft pale sweet malts, light fruits, light hops, hint of butter biscuits, soft and easy, lager like
Palate - Medium carb, light body, slightly oily but watery. Finish non descript, only slight bitterness
Overall - Too little hops to be an APA, more a lager. Tastes like an economy brew to me. Didn’t finish the pint. ZZZZZZzzzzzzzz

Bottle, at mum and dads house, from Callans 17/01/14. Clear golden with a good sized white head that dissipates then retains as a covering. Nose is pale malts, grass laden, cereals, hint of citric fruit, clean aroma, herbal leanings. Taste comprises pale malt, light orange, straw, lemon rind, bread dough, touch of hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation with a little prickle, dry grassy bitterness in the finish. Simple, clean, drinkable affair. I’d have this down as a pale lager or a pils, not a golden blonde. The info on the bottle is vaguely amusing if a little OTT !

smelvis (2) - IRELAND - JAN 17, 2014 does not count
Not much on the nose, a bit of lemon and an almost tree sap like smell. The tree sap smell follows on to the palette, very odd and not at all pleasant. Mid palette is slightly bitter but fades away to nothing pretty quickly. Underwhelming

elbernays (548) - Dublin, IRELAND - NOV 14, 2013
Pours clear gold with a cloud inside it. The appearance sums up the beer. It is a mixture of what is tries to be and what is fails to be. It is not an American pale ale. It has a very lager feel. Aroma is hay with slight citrus. Big bready malt taste which gives feel of good body but quickly washes away to a watery finish. Bitterness is there at start but by end it has dissipated and the malt wins out which leads to an unbalanced beer. The body is light and watery and disappoints. No great.

Hazy pale burnished gold with fluffy white head. Bready with dusty peaches. Medium carbonation, dough, dry bitterness becoming astringent

Bottle. Hazy yellow with a thin head. Aroma is dusty malt. Flavour is dull malt, a little watery citrus on a dry finish. Not bad but a bit dull.
