COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A highly hopped, moderate bodied beer which comes in at 5.2% ABV. The hops schedule includes healthy doses of Chinook, Cascade, and Amarillo, and is tuned perfectly to provide the hops bitterness explosion that IPA fans seek without a lingering bitter aftertaste.

Bottle thanks to Travlr: Carmel orange color white head. Sweet malt aroma. Wet thin hops with malts. Finally finished sampling a beer from all 50 states and DC.

Not a bad IPA. Orangish with a white head and a medium body. Pine and grass aroma and a tinge of citrus. Tried in Harper’s Ferry with Matt in 2014.

Tap at Mountain State. Classic East Coast/English IPA. Unfiltered copper orange. Creamy off-white head. Balance between the crystal malts and classic hops. Ringwood barky English yeast tones. Leans into the toffee caramel. OK, standard, inoffensive.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2014 Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with a large foamy orange-beige head that faded and left great lacing. The aroma was dryish, bitter and tart with notes of grapefruit and lemon. The flavor was bitter, tangy and a bit tart with notes grapefruit and lemon. Medium length finish. Medium body. Solid.

Charleston bottle. First WV tick and celebrating #37. Nice brown, amber pour with lots of carbonation pushing a foamy off-white head. Nice lemony citrus aroma with some sweet hay notes. Flavor is a little thin. Bitterness but maybe lacking a little malt backbone. Good.

Caramel, biscuits, pine, and fruit in the aroma. Flavor start bitter, with pine and some fruit. Mild finish, with some bitterness and a little fruit sweetness. Fairly standard IPA, but pretty good nonetheless.

Pour is dark amber with a lite white head. Aroma like all other parts of this beer is very hoppy and bone dry if that’s your thing this is your beer. I very much like this beer and think it will pair well with food. The finsh is bitter but not over the top.

On tap in the Laurel Lounge in Canaan Valley Resort in Canaan Valley State Park, WV. Clear, chestnut color with an off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of bread, citrus, caramel, pine and floral hops. Taste of caramel, floral hops, citrus and bread. The hops and malts do not seem to balance each other well. Instead of a balance and interplay, we get a sequence. The flavor starts sweet and finishes with a harsh bitterness. Medium body and medium/low carbonization. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A beer with less of a hoppy note, but after visiting the brewery and meeting the crew we learned that they strive to not be too out there and bring the beer back to what it was meant to be. A heartier and more tingling IPA.

Bottle from Frederick Wine House: pours brown with almost no head. Leaves trace lacing in the glass. There’s a bit of pine on the nose. There’s also a bit of the pine cone on the tongue as well but it fades pretty quickly. In trying for a hoppy taste and a clean finish, it just feels a bit boring.
