On tap at Vine Street Pub. Pour is pitch black with a small brown head and great lacing. Big coffee, roast, cocoa nibs, a hint of vanilla, wood, and earthy hops in the aroma. Taste is Espresso, earthy Sumatra, grassy, somewhat sweet, vanilla, caramel, and oak with a roasted bitter finish. Medium mouthfeel with medium-to-high carbonation. Pretty tasty stuff.

On tap at Mtn Sun. Pours a very dark brown with light brown head that settles quickly. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt and oats. Flavor is sweet, roasted coffee up front fading into bitter roasted finish. The flavor is mostly roasted coffee, but it is anticipated and not a bad thing. Moderate carbonation, medium body, and a slightly chewy texture. A smooth, strong, rich coffee beer. Very enjoyable.

Tap @ Vine Street. Thin tan head, black beer. Deep roasted espresso and mocha aromas. Served too cold to taste at first, had to wait for it to warm a little. Beer tasted very much like a cold press sweetened espresso, yet finishes with a little heat from alcohol. Medium body, light carbonation. Overwhelming sweetness prohibits beer from being more enjoyable.

Pour on tap at vine st is dark black with tan head, nice looking in the glass. Aroma brought notes of wet coffee grounds, some slight chocolate, toffee and roasted notes but the wet coffee dominates. The flavor, however, mixes deep espresso bean nicely with dark chocolate, roasted malt and some dark fruit, hints of earth notes finishes fairly coffee forward. Nicely done, delicious.

On Tap at Vine Street Pub, Denver 17/09/2010 Big coffee aroma. Black a little rich on the palate and hoppy with a hint of dryness in a bitter coffee roast finish.

On tap @ Vine Street. Dark dark brown pour. Smells like awesome fresh made gourmet coffee. Even purely as a coffee this would smell stupidgood. Taste is not as superb but still pretty tasty. Flavor profile starts with some french roast java, hits some slight cocoa notes somewhere in the middle, but the whole thing gets interrupted by bitter hoppiness. The whole ride isnít sweet or smooth enough. Itís still a great stout, Iím probably just being too critical because the flavor wasnít as great as the aroma. The whole thing could use some sweetness and/or more chocolate.

Tap @. Vine Street location. Dark black appearance with a nice dark brown head. The aroma is like I stuck my nose in a coffee grinder with some chocolate mousse. Nice! Fairly strong coffee flavor with a chocolate flavor on top of a good Stout body. Actually a sweet mocha finish. Excellent!!

(Draught) dark black pour, brown foam and huge coating of the glass. Nose of sweet coffee, biscotti, vanilla, brown sugar, no alcohol at all, smells awesome! Taste of huge sweet chocolate, mild dark chocolate notes, espresso, mild alcohol, graham crackers. Thick body, fine soft carbonation, and bit sweet espresso linger. Absolutely delicious, and one of the best beers the entire few days I was at GABF.
