Tap at Vine Street - turbid gold - a decent hefe here - the body is fairly hefty and creamy - the nose is soft wheat, white pepper, slight banana.esters - the flavor is mildly sweet, but dries out fast, allowing peppery and spicy phenolics to settle in late - finish of melon rind and lingering spiciness - I likeit.

Tap at Vine st. Lightly hazy but lacking a head. It looks thin. Tje aroma is correct with wheat and banana, but light. Mild flavor with some sweet wheat. More of a wheat ale.

Brouwerij (959) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 9, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 10, 2012 Served in a 20oz glass. Pours hazy straw color with minimal white head, no lacing. Aroma is sweet and fruity, hints of bread. Flavor is sweet wheat up front, banana and bread with a mild finish. Moderate to strong carbonation and light body give it a refreshing mouthfeel. Delicious and drinkable, a solid hefeweizen.

draft. cloudy and turbid body, nearly buttermilk color when it was handed to me. forward phenols (clove, spiced cake) and esters (candied banana) dominate the nose. medium effervescence, and not dry enough; has the weight of pale weizenbock. irritating bitter lemon peel and oil flavors. solvent-like phenols are excessive.

holdenn (2110) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 18, 2010
On tap at the Vine Street location. Served in the sampler size glass. Appears a cloudy yellow with a fluffy white head. Strong nose of citrus banana and clove. All those hefe notes but really amped up with banana and yeast. Simple citrus banana flavors with a slight earthiness. Spritzy carbonation. The nose outshines the flavor, but a solid hefe. 8/4/7/3/15
