Commercial Description:
What's in a name? The brewer's mantra, "more hops," is taken as far as possible in this beer. A deep amber body balances the bitterness and makes that long day at work seem a distant memory. Just ask for a pint of "the dank!!" This beer is also dry hopped with whole flower, Cascade hops.

Tap at MS during GABF week 09. My notes say Colorado Finest Kind. Pours a medium amber with a fluffy head. Aroma is nutty toasty and doughy slight yeast- grassy green hoppy, cascade citrus, Flavor is mint, pine, sap and resin with more lightly toasted malts, some caramel, yeasty doughy- mostly clean moderate bitter finish. Good.

nitro tap at Mountain Sun - Pours amber with an aroma of citrus hops and caramel malt. It has a moderately strong hop flavor with ample citrus notes. It has a fairly light body and the fine carbonation typical of nitro. Good brew.

Draught at Mountain Sun - Nitro. Slightly hazy amber color with super thin tan head. Burnt caramel malt nose of cascade hop. Flavor is initially sweet but balanced by dry finis that lingers. Fun beer.

Tap at the pub. A nice drinkable brew. Not a lot of hops compared to their other brews. Nice drinkable brew.

On nitro tap at the brewpub on 7/17/09. Pours a darker orange amber, nice cream head. Pine hops aroma with little citrus grapefruit on the nose. Great hops flavor without all the bitterness. At this point, I tasted the Colorado Kind from a regular tap as well, and you do pick up more of the bitterness, but still decent hops flavor across the board.

Sampler at the Mountain Sun Pub & Brewery, Boulder 12/10/2008 Malt aroma. Mid brown coloured smooth on the palate with a little fruit flavour. Some bitterness in a crisp and dry malt finish.

Smooth like an Amber but a strong hoppy bitter bite to it. Awesome balance between flavors. Try it on Nitro, on of the few hoppy beers I think the nitro smoothness improves!

Clear lightly hazy red color. Nice mixture of hops on the nose. Mainly sweet hops with some bittering. Poured through nitro which leads to a creamy feel. Taste is pretty light on the hops. What is tasted is almost a bitter coffee flavored hop. It doesn’t have a coffee flavor per se, but it leaves you thinking you had a cup. Lots of aroma hops with a smooth finish.
