COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Just like one of the best climbs at Joshua Tree, this IPA, chock full of UK Kent Golding hops, is not only beautiful to look at, but after quaffing a few pints, you’ll have that same satisfaction as if you were pulling that final crux move at the end of the climb. This beer is also dry hopped with whole flower, UK Kent Golding hops.

Tap @ Vine St Pub on Nitro. Hazy amber with a creamy beige head. Biscuit and caramel malt aroma with some herbal and earthy hops. Malty without being too sweet and a mellow hop bitterness for balance. Medium body, mild nitro carbonation and a creamy mouth feel. Good beer and nice to see brewers doing something besides the typical American IPA and going back to the roots of the IPA.

Tap at MS during GABF 09. Pours a medium orange with a fluffy white head. Aroma is english hops, yeasty, doughy, floral, flowers- tea leaves and earth- good though- fresh and green. DOughy with a modestly sweet toffee malt- light caramel, ok green tea, earth, leafy, floral hops fruity esters, grassy and a smooth clean soft bitterness in the end of the palate.

nitro tap at Mountain Sun - Pours hazy orange and has a big hop aroma with citrus. The white head lingers and laces heavily. There’s good malt sweetness up front that’s balanced well with the citrus hops that hit later. It’s medium bodied with the fine carbonation of nitro and a long, bitter finish. Another good Mountain Sun brew.

Draught at Mountain Sun. Dark brown orange, slightly hazy medium head. Aroma is very malty for an IPA, even for a British rendition, also earthy. Ends bitter, quick dry finish but bitterness lingers. Flavor is also biscuity and seemingly malt dominated. Interesting brew.

Sampler at the Mountain Sun Pub & Brewery, Boulder 12/10/2008 Hoppy aroma. Golden coloured smooth on the palate and hoppy with a little bitterness in a crisp pale and creamy finish.

Pint at Vine Street - well, she looks pretty - glowing hazy orange, with a soapy, lasting lace - this is a lot better than the ratings suggest, and it also comes across as being much stronger than 5.5% - your standard citrus/pine, assertive hop character is tempered by a health, but balancing dose of sweetness - a touch of toasted grain character adds an interesting dimension - a solid IPA.

Crushed with Jakebra on tap at the brewpub. Subpar IPA. Not very good. No balance. Just left with a stale bitterness after not much flavor.

On tap at the Vine St. Pub. Nice orange color with a small white head but very good lacing down the glass. It smells a little hoppy. Taste is hoppy, a weird copper-penny taste followed by a maltiness that smoothed it out. I guess this is more of an english-style IPA but as good as their FYIPA is I don’t really understand why they make this one. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 07-19-2008 03:32:25

Draft at brewery. Light hazy iced tea body with a thin head. Nose-very neutral, almost nothing. Taste-dirty, wet leaves black tea, syrup, medium sweetness, cereal, and light grapefruit. Nice.

(Draught) Pours a lightly hazy amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of grass, spoiled veggies, biscuit, and caramel. Flavor of caramel malt and hops (grassy, light citrus) with a moderately bitter finish.
