TJBurkeShow (1), USA does not count Aug 23, 2006 my absolute favorite. an amazing porter with big coffee and chocolate flavors. exceptional when on nitro tap bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA Jan 4, 2006 Updated: May 9, 2006these rate seem a bit ascue to me. this was one decandant and delicious beer.
one would probably mistake it for a stout, its served on nitro and looks like guinness. a huge tight creamy head with blackness below. nice sweet coffee bean into the nares. smooth and creamy on the palate, silky and inviting. huge explosion of espresso and chocolate that envelops your tongue. biggest characteristics of these flavors i have ever had in this genre. semi sweet bitterness on the backend that was oh so superb. good f’n stuff. RussWilson (1), Rapid City, South Dakota, USA does not count Aug 7, 2005 I love Java Porter. I’ll even drink it in summer. The commercial description is very accurate. I can only add that the coffee flavor is perfectly blended. The Sun doesnt scrimp on ingrdients. All of their beers are distictive and have that homemade taste that unfiltered, thinking out of the box make every pint a new, great experience. soyorganic (138), Denver, Colorado, USA Jul 1, 2008 On tap at Vine St. Nice beer: poured dark black with a small tan head. A dark maltish and coffee aroma. Heavy carbonation and full taste with just enough coffee taste. I thought this tasted great and was balanced perfectly (right amount of hops) especially if you like both coffee and beer. caesar (2654), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Oct 9, 2008 Tap @ brewpub. Dark color, short brown color. Soft aroma of freshly grinded coffee. Nice taste of fresh coffee as well, some chocolat, malty. Very nice again. I (s) adore this beer :D
