COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A rich, creamy ale infused with a generous amount of coffee, the Porter was developed by Mountain Sun brewers weary of drinking Stout for breakfast. The result is an ale where coffee aromas mingle perfectly with a roasted barley, hop finish. A unique treat including as thick a head as you will ever get on a latte.

This one was on nitro and CO2 when I tried it...bonus! Wonderfull espresso aroma. Deep brown in color with white/tan colored head. Light of palate. Roasty coffee flavor. The nitro version was smother as could be expected with more coffee notes coming through the aroma. Notes: Pub visit during ’09 GABF

Tap. Pours dark brown with thin, creamy beige head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is roasted and chocolate malts, coffee, raisins, figs, light oak, and light spicy hops. Flavor is roast malt forward with supporting chocolate, espresso, light smoke, some dark fruit esters, and faint earthy hops; dry finish. Light/medium body and medium carbonation.

On tap at Mtn Sun. Pours an opaque black with a half finger of tan head that disappears in minutes. The aroma is dominated by roasted coffee, hints of roasted malt and caramel. Flavor is slightly sweet malty up front, fading into strong and rich coffee tones. Finish is somewhat bitter and the coffee flavor lingers. Moderate carbonation and medium body, with a slightly astringent finish. A very enjoyable beer with bold coffee flavor.

On tap at Vine Street Pub. Pour is opaque brown with a small tan head and great lacing. Roast, espresso, cocoa, marshmallow, and light smoke in the aroma. Taste is heavy smoke, bitter coffee, light chocolate, grass, and caramel with a light bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Pretty straightforward porter. Not bad.

Not a strong aroma, but hints at coffee. Poured with almost no head, and very dark in color, more than other porters I've sampled, but I'm no expert. Flavor was bitter and definitely full of coffee, leaving a bitter coffee aftertaste - not unpleasant.

Delicious coffee aroma, dark roasted color, and roasted malt flavors. Very drinkable and satisfying.
