On tap at Crunchy’s, East Lansing. A bitter, watery brown ale, toasty but watered down in all aspects. Mediocre.

Oct 6, 2008 6oz sample at MTS - Aroma is mild nutty malts with a little brown sugar adn chocolate. Pours transparent dark brown with no head and decent lacing. Flavor is very malty. Brown sugar, toffee, hazelnut and chocolate. Palate is creamy. Ok, but nothing special.

does not count  Feb 23, 2005 Great start into the daker side of beer styles. It could of used a bit more hop to cut the malt a bit but overall a great beer that many brewpubs fail to make.

Mar 26, 2003 The best MTS brew I tried at this session - a similar flavor to the red, but darker, deeper, and richer, with more sudued sours and some chocolate tones.
