does not count swank2i2 (9), Alma, Michigan, USA Feb 23, 2005 My personal choice for the best beer. Hop, hop, hop in this baby. Perfect color, aroma, and bit. Almost into the ESB range. A+
MI2CA (1101), Noblesville, Indiana, USA Oct 6, 2008 6oz sample at MTS - Aroma is flowery citrus hops and caramel malt. Pours cloudy light brown with a ring head and decent lacing. Flavor matches aroma with the hops really sticking out. Palate is tart and crisp. A nice tasty IPA. Reading the other ratings makes me wonder if I got a fresh keg or something. BellsFan (21), Michigan, USA Mar 19, 2008 Almost too clear for a good IPA. Good flavor, but it’s lacking something. It does taste more like a pale ale. Worth a try. Tmoney99 (3740), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Mar 3, 2008 MBG Winter Fest 2008. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus aroma. Medium body with a slicky texture. Medium sweet & sour flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met for this first time for me brewer. jvmiller (300), Bel Air, Maryland, USA Jun 27, 2007 Updated: Jun 28, 2007NIce color, reddish orange.
Not much smell. Hops are present, however the beer lacks any malt profile. I was expecting worse from the others I’ve read, but I didn’t think it was all that bad. It had a piney hop flavor to it, sweet but bitey. At times I thought it was almost sour though, like eating an orange after brushing your teeth. Despite this I thought it was a solid effort for a microbrew like Mountaintown. SpudClampDawg (960), Jasper, Indiana, USA Jul 16, 2006 More like a pale ale to me. Pours a fiery red. The sweet nose is piney and citrusy, somewhat flat and stale though. Medium body. No real malt profile in the body, just more stale hops and moderate bitterness. A nice drinker, but a weak IPA.
