does not count swank2i2 (9), Alma, Michigan, USA Feb 23, 2005 In true Stout fashion it was rich and full of flavor. It would of been nice to be dispensed with nitrogen and I was told it may happen soon. We’ll see. Could of been a bit thicker.
WakeandBake (150), Greenville, Michigan, USA Nov 26, 2008 Updated: Nov 27, 2008Bottle.Pours the normal stout black, with a thin tan head. There is nothing that really stands out in the aroma or flavor, rather everything is subtle, nice dark malt burnt coffee, and dark fruit flavors, and aromas with a hints of chocolate and some dark bread notes maybe some licorice. Creamy mouthfeel,Very good. MI2CA (1101), Noblesville, Indiana, USA Oct 6, 2008 6oz sample at MTS - Aroma is sweet chocolate and burnt malts. Pours black with a small brown head and good lacing. BBB63 (3843), La Porte, Indiana, USA Aug 8, 2008 2008 MiBGF: Black with creamy tan head. The aroma has notes vanilla, chocolate, butterscotch, walnut, coffee, oak and plum esters. The taste has sweet malt and acidic fruits. Some bittersweet chocolate and coffee upon the finish. The mouth feel is oily and smooth. A nice solid brew. Silphium (2050), Lansing, Michigan, USA May 26, 2008 On tap at Crunchy’s, East Lansing. An interesting, complex stout, sweet, with notes of milk chocolate, molasses, brown sugar, dark fruits (including grapeskin), and roast. I did not detect much alcohol presence, and assumed this was a sweet stout of modest ABV rather than an Imperial Stout. Enjoyable. Tmoney99 (3740), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Mar 3, 2008 MBG Winter Fest 2008. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate roasted coffee and chocolate aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium roasted coffee bittersweet flavor with a light to medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met with a soft beer.
