Thanks to Cavie for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a very light yellow color with a white head. The aroma has a hint of skunk, with some grain and grass thrown in. The flavor doesnít feature the skunk notes, but it is quite grainy with not much else going on. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Originally reviewed: 12/28/10. After driving through WV on my way back and forth to OH so many times, I finally decided to stop and look for some WV brew. Itís a state I havenít knocked off yet. All they had at the place I stopped was this, and their Nut Brown Ale. I went with the lager because sometimes I just want a mild no-nonsense beer. Something I donít have to think much about. So here goes... 12oz bottle poured into a pilsner glass. Pours a super pale gold with about a finger-width of bone-white head on top. Dissipates to just a ring around the edge. Some light lace sticks around. The nose is mild and basic. Some light lemon citrus, grains, and dry husk. The mouth is light with ample carbonation. Refreshing feel. The flavor is about what I expected. Honey, lemon zest, white bread, and a mild soapy aftertaste. Light hops on the back end. This, as others have already stated, would make a great "converter" for the macro crowd. But I enjoyed it still. It accomplished what I got it for: itís refreshing and simple.

Bottle from crftbrfn. Thanks for the West Virginia rating!
Pours an average cloudy yellow with a lively body. Slight layer of white foam sits atop the beer, and I hear the faint restrains of "Take Me Home (Country Roads)" but then again, Iím sure most people do, too, when they drink a West Virginia beer. Aroma is a light honey with a hint of rose and wet grass with small biscuit chunks on each blade. Flavor is a light, refreshing blend of grass, rose, honey, and sweet bread soaked in grass clippings and dew. Tingly mouthfeel. I like this beer; very clean and refreshing. Glad I got three.

(12oz bottle thanks to Cavie) clear, almost no color with foamy white bubbles. Nose is herbal, bit of corn, sugar. Taste of stale grains, bit of corn, sugar, very carbonated, crisp lager linger.

Bottle - aroma is floral with a bit of barnyard. Pours a clear amber orange. Taste is faintly bitter with a crisp finish. That said the palate is so watery that Iím not getting much taste. While itsnot terrible, this beer is clearly designed to get you drunk cheaply, not for the enjoyment of the beer.
