Bottle. A pale copper pour with a small light-tan head. Balanced aroma with hints of caramel and brown sugar to go along with some citrus and floral notes. On the thin side with a high level of carbonation. Crisp and pretty clean. A tasty caramel backbone with grapefruit upfront. Dry, bitter finish. Decent enough to want another.

Nov 17, 2008 decaturstevo’s 2008 Zapit Tasing Tasting. Sample from a bottle thanks to decaturstevo. Slight haze, dark honey yellow with a thin white head. Light pale malt, perfume and floral hops. Straw and pale malt then a strong hop bitterness, grassy and gritty.

Nov 15, 2008 Clear gold with thin white ring of head. Light piney hop aroma. Slight floral hop flavor. Not over the top. Lightly bitter hop finish. Better side of average for a pale ale.

Sep 2, 2008 Thanks for sharing, dansting. The body was medium gold with a white head. The aroma was pears with some cheap bread. The taste was lightly bitter grapefruit. There was also some sweet buckwheat pancakes. Pretty lame.

Aug 9, 2008 Nice and easy to drink APA. Aroma was pretty weak. Cardboard, grassy hops and a hint of caramel. Pour was medium cloudy gold with no head. Taste was nice and bitter. Grass, hops and a mouth drying bitterness. Just a thin showing of sweet light malt to balance it out, but not very obvious. The hops are the showcase here.

does not count  Jun 4, 2008 Very clear, golden color. A bit bland flavoring, but a strong Hoppy bitter aftertaste, although it doesn’t stay on your tounge too long.
