hopscotch (4477), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Dec 3, 2007 Updated: Dec 4, 2007Bottle... O-Town Throwdown Part Tres... Clear yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is pretty much all grapefruit. The flavor provides good symmetry, but leans just a whisker toward the bitter side of balance. Light to medium-bodied and fizzy. Coarse, dry finish. Altogether pleasant little pale ale. jcwattsrugger (3942), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Apr 13, 2008 12oz bottle-pours an off white head and slightly hazy gold colr. Aroma is citrus hops, yeast, secondary grain/medium malt-caramel. Taste is earthy/citrus hops, yeast/biscuity, secondary grain/medium malt-caramel/butterscotch. A bit homebrew/small micro character. OK carbonation. Thanks decaturstevo for sharing. BBB63 (3797), La Porte, Indiana, USA Apr 27, 2008 Bottle and served in standard pint glass: Thanks to who gave me this at DLD so I could finally rate a West Virginia beer:
Clean golden hue with a small but lasting frothy head and good lace. The aroma has notes of mild grassy and citric hops, wet pale grains, a hint of crystal malt and some butterscotch. The taste starts sort of twangy and mildly bitter with a dose of pale sweet malt in support. A light peppery spice upon the finish. The mouth feel is lively and has a papery finish. Okay, better than expected. heemer77 (3667), Savannah, Missouri, USA Sep 2, 2008 Thanks for sharing, dansting. The body was medium gold with a white head. The aroma was pears with some cheap bread. The taste was lightly bitter grapefruit. There was also some sweet buckwheat pancakes. Pretty lame. Retorp (2158), Tampa, Florida, USA Jan 18, 2007 Draft at the Hole in the Wall, Snowshoe, WV. The aroma is slightly dusty with light citric and pine notes. The body is a dull gold color and holds a very fluffy and lasting white head that is damn Belgian looking. It most be noted this was pouring all foam. I actually had to go back and adjust the gas for the bartender. Needless to say that had something to do with the head, but a slight infection may have been present because....

The fore is lightly hoppy with mild citrus and a weird vanilla/ caramel notes that is highly unexpected, but kind of tasty. The finish has an almost spearmeint quality to it that again is not expected, but somewhat tasty. Is this as intended? Probably not, but if it is a screw up it is an interesting one.
