brew4fun (137), West Virginia, USA Feb 8, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Poured clear deep golden. Big creamy, slightly off-white head that quickly settles to a thin layer of foam with little lacing. Aroma of caramel and grapefruit, hint of pine. Flavor is very smooth pale malt, backed by a touch of caramel. Moderate to high bittterness with a lot of grapefruit. My second favorite offering from this brewery, after the stout - hope to enjoy many more in the future! bacummings (8), Alabama, USA does not count Jun 4, 2008 Very clear, golden color. A bit bland flavoring, but a strong Hoppy bitter aftertaste, although it doesn’t stay on your tounge too long. kcmo19 (71), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA May 17, 2008 Updated: May 21, 2008Amber color with very little head. Smells of grapefruit and caramel. Thin body and not much carbonation. A little bitter and tastes of citrus and toffee. Overall it’s a pretty good beer. agl108 (373), Manayunk, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 2, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Poured light copper with slight lacing. Floral, light citrusy nose. Grapefruit and piney flavor with dry, bitter finish. Thin mouthfeel. Bottle states beer is brewed with Ahtanum and Tomahawk; no mention of the Cascade hops listed on the commercial description here. Sessionable. Worth picking up a sixer if you pass through the Mountain State. jcwattsrugger (4087), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Apr 13, 2008 12oz bottle-pours an off white head and slightly hazy gold colr.
