Commercial Description:
Classic dry Irish. This stout is made from highly roasted malts used for color. Oats are also added for an extra creamy mouth feel. With coffee and chocolate aromas, this ale is very flavorful, but don't be fooled by the color, dry Irish stouts are always light in body.

12oz bottle @Hoboken#1-thanks decaturstevo–pours a light brown head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-licorice/cocoa powder, some lactose, roasty. A bit thin on initial taste. Then dark malt-licorice/cocoa powder, some lactose, roasty, coffee with some faint hops. Closer to a light porter.

Thanks to ogglethorp for the trade. Pours a deep brown/black with a small bubbly off white head. Aroma of dark chocolate, some coffee notes, caramel and toffee. Flavor of toasted and lightly roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee and light smoke.

On draught at River City Ale Works in Wheeling. Pours flat black with a thin beige head that dissapears fairly fast. Tiny bubbles on the inside of the glass, and minimal lacing. Mildly roasty aroma with touches of coffee and malt. Medium, dry body with roasted coffee and malt flavor, along with light hops. The finish is smooth with mildly bitter coffee and hops flavors. Overall this isn’t a bad Stout, it just doesn’t have a whole lot of character.
