This is a rich, robust porter, cleverly crafted to integrate the aromas and flavors of espresso coffee malt and bitter-sweet chocolate malt. Inspired by owner Brendan Moylans’ daughter Chelsea, this is an American-Irish Style Porter that dark beer drinkers will love

On tap 4 oz. sample at Moylan's Brewery and Restaurant. Opaque brown black with trivial lacing. (The head had settled by the time the beer arrived at my table.) Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Taste of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Medium body and carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown body with poor head. Coffee on the aroma followed by some burnt notes. Some chocolate notes coming through in the taste as well. Drinkable.

Nice coffee and chocolate aromas, dark Brown body. Had on tap @ FO. Relatively mild, very smooth. Nice flavors for a porter, a little less than full bodied enough. Pales next to victory at sea, but nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber from Roosevelt’s. Pours very dark brown with tan head. Aromas of coffee, milk chocolate, and some roasted malts. Flavors of deeply roast malts, chocolate, and some coffee and ash. Body and carbonation was good. Nice flavorful porter.

Nice large malted milkball colored head of very fine and dense bubbles. Light roasted grains, milk chocolate, a bit of toffee and some weak coffee. Color is a very dark brown. WOW, big roastyness and bitterness in the flavor. Did not see that coming from the aroma. Lots of strong roasted grains, coffee and some burnt toast. Most of the chocolate present in the aroma is masked by the strong roasted flavors. Maybe some bitter dark chocolate but not a lot. Some pine and floral hops flavors late swallow. A decent porter and a rather strong one.

bottle - Pours very dark brown and smells of milk chocolate and roast malt. It has a sweet chocolate malt taste with a little coffee. This medium bodied brew is a solid porter.

22oz bottle. Rating #97. Dark brownish/red pour with a tan head. Sweet chocolaty aroma with a light roast. Flavor had a big roasty bite, a bitterness that stuck around for a good while, dark chocolate bitterness big time. (2255)

22 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours crystal clear dark reddish brown color with a nice 1-2 finger light tan head with good retention that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty glass lacing, with plenty of carbonation streaming up. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, light coffee, roasted malt, toast, nuttiness, and light herbal hops. Nice and well balanced aromas with good strength. Taste of chocolate, caramel coffee, roasted malt, toast, nuttiness, and herbal spiciness. Light herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, chocolate, roasted malt, and herbal hops on the finish for a short bit. Fairly dry on the finish. Nice balance of flavors; but a touch on the watery side and not as robust as some porters I have had in the past. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy mouthfeel. Very smooth to drink; with no alcohol presence at all as expected for 5%. Overall this is a nice, enjoyable, and very drinkable porter.

22 oz bottle. Pours a clear moderately dark brown body under a thin fizzy light brown head that faded pretty quickly. The nose is pretty chocolaty with some lighter coffee, roast, and a bit of hoppiness. The flavor is a bit on the weak side for me though. There’s not a whole lot of depth to it. It’s like a cross between a porter and an Irish Stout, given the roastiness that comes out in the flavor. Light bodied and a little too watery in texture for my tastes. It’s not horrible or anything, just a little weak.

A very good porter. A pleasing sour note upfront gives way to a roasted coffee middle with a long bitter aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
