Bottle at the Sudwerks beerfest. Pours very dark brown with a creamy tan head. Deep rich chocolate aroma. Medium body; creamy carbonation. Flavoros of chocloate, burnt malt and light coffee. Decent bitterish finish. Goes down a treat.

Black color with a large head. Aroma of Worther’s Original butterscotch candies. Tastes like it too. A bit of roast and some lactose, very very light coffee, but not much can out muscle the butterscotch.

Nitro at the brewpub. Black with ruby edges and a 1/2 finger beige head. Roasted malt and milk chocolate nose, followed by some chocolate chip cookie notes--not much of the sweetness, though. Flavor does have some sweet lactosey notes along with some light caramel--quite tasty and kind of desserty, as it pulls back quite a bit on the roast. Bitterness peaked at a 2 in the finish. Light carbonation with a medium body. Very good.

Pouts black with beige head. Aroma of light chocolate, coffee grounds, and roasted malt. Flavor is much more pronounced. Heavily roasted body with big cocoa, burnt malt, caramel and peanuts. Exactly what I am looking for in a porter. Excellent. Creamy, dense mouthfeel

bottle. deep brown body, chalky medium brown head. solvent and evaporated milk-tinged aroma of chocolate malt, roast and toasted oatmeal flakes. dense and frothy without being weighty. well-attenuated. moderate to heavy roast astringency with some mild malolactic notes (malted milk balls, milk powder). dry and ashen finish.

A solid porter but nothing too special either. Dark, thick, rich malt flavor with lots of chocolate and roasted malts. Nice lacing on the glass as I worked my way through it. Mouthfeel was a little on the weak side, and left something to be desired. Nothing bad, but nothing that makes it a standout either.

Tap at Stone. Pours dark brown with a fizzy tan head and specks of lace. Smells of roasted malts and chocolate. Tastes of roasted malts and chocolate with a hint of sour malts. Pretty good. Medium body, fizzy carbonation.

Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of bitter chocolate, coffee, vanilla, light fruittiness and light licorice. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bitter chocolate, coffee, vanilla, light licorice and light roastinmess with a smooth lingering chocolate finish.
