This is a rich, robust porter, cleverly crafted to integrate the aromas and flavors of espresso coffee malt and bitter-sweet chocolate malt. Inspired by owner Brendan Moylans’ daughter Chelsea, this is an American-Irish Style Porter that dark beer drinkers will love

Rated on 12-22-2011. This bottled beer has a small semi-fizzy tan head with a long retention, semi-transparent reddish brown body, fast rising, fizzy carbonation observed, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is malt, chocolate, coffee, and sweet. The flavor mimics the aroma. The mouthfeel is lively, water and thin. This beer is light-medium bodied. This is an easy drinking beer and worth trying.

Bottle to pint glass Dark chocolate, cherry, toasted malt, and molasses. Black as night with a 2 cm thick creamy tan head that over time reduces to a thin layer with no lacing. Taste is dark chocolate and coffee along with some grains. This is pretty thin, being almost watery for me.
