1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Why does Moylan’s need to call this an Irish style red ale. I mean Moylan’s is Irish no? That’s like Budweiser calling bud light an American style shit beer. Duh! This is an amber brew, or red as the Irish style Irish call it. The head is weak. The aroma is sweet an grainy. The taste is like livestock feed, to get them to eat grain which is not part of their natural diet. I wouldn’t drink this under any circumstances, unless you’re in high school, and can’t buy beer yet,.. maybe.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
650ml bottle. Barely clear amber colour with small, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Scant malty aroma with an unspecific fruity and minimally nuttily touch. Taste is nuttily malty, nut pellicle, very subtle sweetness, cautious bitter hoppy overtones; surprisingly soft, silk, mouthfilling palate reconciles a little. Quite expressionless.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
650ml bottle. Clear amber pour with chunks of white head. Light twiggy hop aroma. Sweet caramel tones on the tongue. Light blackcurrant fruit lurking at the edges. Decent enough, with just about enough character to make it interesting.
