4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Moylans Dragoons Dry Irish Stout has a thick, creamy tan head and a dark brown, almost black appearance, with lots of bubbles clinging to the sides and a fairly thick lacing sheen left on the glass. The aroma is of bitter coffee, dark malts, acidity, and some burnt properties. Flavor is of dark-roasted, somewhat burnt malt, acidity, black bread, and maybe cocoa powder. There really isnít much bitterness, here. Mouthfeel is light and prickly, and Moylans Dragoons Dry Irish Stout finishes dry, astringent, sweet, and easy drinking. Overall, this is most excellent, and I recommend it! RJT
