Bottle pour into a pint glass for this brew. missing just a bit of the mark for the IPA style, especially a big ipa. But still good enough

On tap @ Aces & Ales. Slightly hazy orange body, soft pillowy white head. Intense grapefruit hop load, fresh and juicy, sweet underlying malt structure in perfect complement. Intensely bitter, yet so drinkable! Outstanding.

Draught. Pours a mostly clear amber with a moderate white head on it. Nose is fairly floral with a little bit of citrus in it. Taste is only slightly bitter, and feels very smooth. Very drinkable DIPA.

This one poured a darker orange to amber color with an off white head. Aroma was lots of fruity hops, caramel, oranges, and boooooze. Flavor was similar, very bitter, good hop flavor was overwhelmed by sticky sweetness and alcoholc.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2013 Pours from the tap a cool amber with good head retention. Tangerine, pine, and caramel on the nose with a finely carbonated medium body. Taste is sweet initially. This is followed by a smooth bitterness and astringent alcohol. Drying pine hops clean the tongue.

On tap at Taps in Petaluma. A very enjoyable less bitter double IPA. Don't think I've ever tasted such a subtly hopped double IPA.

Growler. Pours hazy copper with a medium sized head. Good retention. Big time alpha nose. Like two spruce trees taking a bath in hop oil. There’s a dusting of sweetness and floral mixed in if you dig deep. Medium sweet attack followed by a surpisingly balance mid-palate. Must be the big malt component that pushes the ABV. The second sip however is pure bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation, oily texture, and an endless uber-bitter finish. Absolutely one to seek out for hop addicts needing a fix.
