I enjoyed this beer on tap in a narrow trumpet glass San Diego. The beer had a light amber-orange color with a large foamy white head with great cling, and good lacing and average retention. Its aroma featured a strong grain and citrus element along with lighter pine and floral notes and some light sugar and spice mixed in. The taste was a very strongly bitter mix of citrus and grain flavors along with a lighter sour grainy effect. Its body was very dry, but had a thick mouthfeel which was lively and bubbly, but still a bit light and airy.

Dark golden hazy thin head Aroma is piney grassy hop oils Piney bitter from start to finish. Long bitter linger. High alcohol well hidden unless you gulp it.

Bam this hits you in the face! Very hoppy and delicious. Almost garlic notes with this one. Definitely a sipper!

Pours from bomber a clear, deep orange hued body with a lasting off-white head with good lace and retention. Aroma is hoppy, light dry hop grassy notes, orange, tangerine, citrus, earthy, dank and resin. The flavour is a huge hop bomb, accented by intensely piney Scottish field grass with some grapefruit before a massive, palate wrecking beautifully bitter finish. The finish is chewy with a lingering hops and grapefruit aftertaste. Unbelievable!!

"Beer 5000! Thank you sweet baby Jesus for this hop loversí delight. "Cat pee on a Christmas tree" came up. So over the top in aroma and flavor, and oh so good. This reminded me of when Ruination was new and the hoppiest thing Iíd had...then (not coincidentally) Hopsickle....then The Younger. This is in that range. If you donít dream of hop flavored everything like I do, this beer is not for you. But hot damn, 10.4% and so drinkable while being one of THE hoppiest beers Iíve ever had. Iím surprised my tooth enamel and esophogus are still intact. Will search for another while itís fresh."

Bomber. Poured fairly bright orange with a sticky off-white head. The aroma picked up a hefty dose of orange and pineapple hoppage over sweet caramel malts.. peppery around the edges of the nose.. I could tell it had some power behind it, but the alcohol was well hidden. The flavor found sweet orange meat, caramel, and biscuity malts at the core, with citrus bitterness and black pepper around.. warming finish with citrus oils and peppery notes. Heavier-bodied with moderate carbonation.. big and bitter, and it worked.

Bomber from Woodmans in Waukesha, shared with ck1. Had looked for it last year, so happy to see an area release. Pours amber orange with a white head. Aroma has fruits and pine and citrus, with some toffee. Taste leads with heavy tangy pine and resin. The citrus and strong malt backbone kick in. Medium bodied with a touch of alcohol. This is a really nice one! On a night that included Pliny & Yulesmith, this was not out of its league. 15.3

Tap pour @ RHP - pours cloudy golden orange-yellow, nice creamy tan head. Big resiny orange aromas, with good cool citrus. Taste is huge and orange hoppy goodness. Nice and hoppy, big boned girl.

Draught at West End Tavern. Amber color, white head. Bitter taste with grapefruit, floral hops, resin, peach, mango and pine. Nicely balanced body, almost perfect combination of hops and malts. Bitter finish with hops, grapefruit, resin and peach. Exquisite imperial IPA.

Aroma is loaded with bitter green hops, dandelion and thistle with a warm malty backdrop. The appearance is a hazy amber liquid with a fast fading white head which leaves fractional lacing. The taste is big all around. Tons of bitterness easily covers a solid sweet malty wall. This beer fills the mouth, attacking every corner of the palate. The body is full with a boozy syrupy texture which is totally forgivable thanks to the big bitter finish. Carbonation remained lively through the end of the glass. Overall this is an awesome beer. Awesome in flavor, awesome in body, awesome in alcohol. Buy some

Pours an orangey, medium amber. It looks a tiny bit hazy, but I think itís just the color and density of the beer. Medium head, just a touch off white. Lots of fine bubbles with good retention. The aroma is milder than expected. Pretty standard grapefruit, pine and floral flavors. Some booze, but not too bad. Some caramel maltiness. Sweet bubblegum note knocking around. The taste is sweet and rich with hop flavor. Quite a bit of pine resin and grapefruit. Mild bitterness at first, builds to moderate towards the end and in the finish. Some booze. Itís a >10% abv DIPA, so thatís forgivable, but itís all a bit much. Thereís a lot of flavor, and itís kinda messy. The malt comes through but pretty much just as simple sweetness. Fairly astringent. Still, itís tasty. Fairly heavy mouthfeel. Long finish. Oily. Interesting beer. Tons of flavor. It just feels like they tried to make it big without much other thought.
