4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 obxdude10 (1831) - Pottstown, USA - JUL 25, 2010
Absoutely incredible beer! I took a trip over to the Craft Ale House just to sample this beer. Naturally I ended up getting a second one to close out the evening over there. The Hopsickle was worth every penny of the $6 I paid for a 10oz glass. This imply IPA pours a dark golden color with a big, fluffy and thick white head. The head leaves a beautiful cascade of lace around the sides of the glass. The nose is all hops, pine, hop resin and citrus. The body is incredibly smooth and drinkable. The flavors are devastingly delicious, with a huge hop profile, along with notes of grapefruit, orange, earth, light bread, some yeast, pine and grass. The finish is really dry and spicy. The Hopsickly is definitely one of the best impy IPAs out there!

Wow, this beer is not for babies....Very extreme. Very hoppy, but very boozy. Too much alcohol presence for my taste. Not one of my favorites.

Bottle. Pours a nice golden orange color with a white head. Aroma is of sweet citrus fruits like orange and tangerine, grapefruit, slight tropical notes of pineapple and mango along with some caramel and sweet malt. Flavor is much more malty, lots of caramel and sweet malt, with bitter grapefruit, orange and tangerine with slight mango notes. The body is medium with a dry mouth feel. Overall a pretty solid DIPA, but I don’t think this was the freshest bottle.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 magdalar (476) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - APR 25, 2012
Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a white head. Smells of pine, caramel, floral hops. Tastes of a piney large bitterness, a medium-heavy resiny sweetness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily texture. A very super hopped beer with an interesting set of flavors. Its a bit excessive in the American way.

Bottle. Light amber, hazy, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate to full, malty and sweetish aroma, tropical fruitiness and some caramel, lots of piney and some grapefruit hoppyness. Body is medium to full, malty and sweetish flavor, some tropical fruitiness and some caramel, lots of piney and some grapefruit hoppyness, faint alcohol. Finish is average to long, malty and lightly sweetish, light caramel, light tropical fruitiness and lots of piney hoppyness, some alcohol. Really nice and well hopped IIPA - not too sweet/not too much caramel. Ace.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 tia (467) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - APR 20, 2012
Bottle. Nice amber color with pretty head, decent retention, and decent lacing. Smells sweet- almost like vanilla cereal- plus perfume, grapefruit, and lemon notes. Quick sweet flavor, followed immediately by a sour and bitter note that lasts. Nice long hop finish. Doesn’t taste as sweet as it smells.

WOW! From the bottle poured an amber brew with a fine white head. Mostly malt aromas. Vicious hop flavors assault your mouth, over powering the malt. Medium bodied. The hop flavor is so strrong I may have to scrape it off my tounge.

Clear amber with a soapy cream colored head and solid lacing. Aroma of citrus, caramel, bread, herbs, and grapes. Taste is really well balanced; substantial bitterness and heavy malt flavors. Pretty full bodied.

If you like hops, this is your beer. Very resiny IPA, bitter finish. Good palate -- again, loaded with hops. Well done. Would definitely seek out another bomber of this.
