Pours a cloudy ruddy orange amber. Thick densely packaged beige-ish head. Caramel/toffee, citrus, grapefruit, pine resin nose. Sweet, chewy malts up front, toasted, roasty, medium to full body, dry, earthen, citric, floral, perfumey, pine hops linger along a drawn out finish. This is not far from some hoppy sex in the mouth. Khaki hop shorts, struttin down the sidewalk. Toss me some salad, you braggot. Thanks to Turd Ferguson for making me bring him to Julio’s for this luscious puppy.

Tap. Pours clear golden with nice white one finger head. Aroma is do dank! Juicy hops, skunky hash, pine, ripe tropical fruits, very intense. Malty bready background. Slight booze. Taste is hoppy, juicy, grape, skunk. Really oily and turns dry bitter. Oily hoppy mouthfeel. Some warming alcohol. Low carbonation. Long lasting dry finish. So dank! Would like to try it all fresh!

22 oz. bottle at home from notes. Pours a hazy amber color with a small, creamy off white head. The aroma had piney hops, resin, caramel, grapefruit and orange citrus, with some alcohol showing. The flavor has piney hops, resin, alcohol, grapefruit citrus, caramel malts, toast bread, with more general hop bitterness. Medium bodied, bitter finish.

On tap (4 oz) @ Le Saint-Bock.

Appearance: Clear golden/copper with a medium off-white head and good lacing.

Aroma: Quite hoppy, but not a stunning combination of hops. Caramel isn’t too far behind, along resin, alcohol and fruity notes.

Taste: Caramel forward with moderate to medium sweetness, resin, fruity presence, alochol and medium bitterness.

Palate: Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. A bit of alcohol warmth in the finish. Resinous.

Overall: A decent/good old style DIPA. Not a bad drinkability considering the abv, but those caramel forward DIPA aren’t exactly my cup of tea.

660 ml bomber from Les Vignerons. Dark gold/light amber, percetly clear, with a big, fluffy and persistent off white head. Great lacing. On the nose candied oranges, toffee, citrusy hops notes, a hint of raspberries (or red wild type of fruits). A bit boozy to be honest, but at the same time it feels complex and mouth watering. Resinous bitterness upfront, but then you get smacked with the warming alchool presence, even though for a 9%+ ABV it’s relatively well hidden. Typical caramel stickyness, blood oranges, again candied/sugary fruits. Pretty astringent after warming up a little. Soft carbonation, medium to full body, slightly oily texture. Clearly more in the hoppy Barleywine terrritory than a proper DIPA and this could be an old bottle, but still decent.

Keg at grove, huddesfield. Amber with white head. Very malty on the nose, bread and caramel dominate. Taste is sweet and rich, relatively small bitterness (despite the name). Medium body with oil and nice balance carbonation. Very chuffing good!

Sour honey nose. Classic IPA colour. Rich and meaty feel on the tongue. Sour finish. Fun IPA but maybe too much lingering sourness for some.

Pours a hazy golden color with a really big head and some lacing on glass. Aroma of citrus and hops with a bit of pine. Taste hops malt pine seems a little dry, bitterness hangs around no real citrus flavor. Overall another good beer from Moylans.
