dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 19, 2008 22 oz bomber courtesy/shared with Naka. Pours hazy golden orange with slight amber hues. Thick, white, foamy head, two fingers, dissipating to a 1/2 inch layer rather quickly. Big hop nose, American hops, citrusy grapefruit and dank resin. Taste is sweet caramel with some honey and then lots of floral, perfumy and grapefruit hops flavor followed by a bitter that grows from the end well into the after, sticky and almost overwhelming, but not overpowering. Very good IPA. Naka (524), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 18, 2008 Pours a clear orange amber color with a thick foamy off-white head. Some decent lacing as it goes down. Great flowery citrus aroma. Some caramel covered grapefruit rind and sweet toffee. There is a floral tea flavor. A sort of non-hop bitterness that is like mango skin. There is a huge amount of hops in this beer. A little out of balance, but I’d expect that from a California IPA. Creamy buttery body that leaves a lot of bitterness on the tongue. dwyerpg (2519), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jun 13, 2008 A nice hoppy aroma. Flavor is pretty nice. A bit dry maybe nutty, but some good light hops throughout. Good. dutch23mp (160), Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA Jun 8, 2008 Great IPA well balanced and full of flavor. Hops are just right! Huge aroma and flavor for a straight IPA. Soapy grapefruit aromas. Flavor is citrus and a bitter metallic hop finish. Clear golden color with a big white head.
chicagobears (336), Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA Jun 8, 2008 Bomber: orange color with soapy head.
Aroma of grapefruit and pine. Floral flavor, fresh, with grapefruit. Finish is watery and dry. kseecs16 (865), Naperville, Illinois, USA Jun 4, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours a light golden with a big white foamy head. Malty aroma with floral hops notes. Floral hop flavor with dry piney finish. Medium bodied with a creamy feel and dry finish. Sparky27 (1559), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jun 2, 2008 Bomber. Pours a slightly hazy amber with one finger beige head. Spotty lacing on the glass. Nose is mainly caramel malts with some floral hops in the background. Palate is Caramel malt upfront with some sour grapefruit. Big, bitter resin finish – a lot more than I expected for an IPA and more than the nose showed. Medium mouth feel. Not a bad brew - Moylans knows their hop bombs. jrob21 (1252), Atlanta, Georgia, USA May 25, 2008 Huge aroma and flavor for a straight IPA. Soapy grapefruit aromas. Flavor is citrus and a bitter metallic hop finish. Clear golden color with a big white head.
