COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our version of the IPA beer style possesses a deep golden hue, rich malty flavor, a bold, complex, and enduring hop finish and is extremely full bodied. We dry hop this brew and use a combination of Fuggles and Chinook hop varieties resulting in an extremely enticing floral and spicy aroma as well as hop character. Great Western Two Row Pale Malt, De Wolf-Cosyns' Caravienne and Munich Malts are combined to achieve an initial specific gravity approaching 1.065.

Hops. Lots of hops. Big hops. Little hops. Fresh hops. Overwhelming hops. Nothing but hops. I wonder how hoppy their double IPA is, since all their hops seem to be right here.

1/6/09 notes: bomber, from Ojai Liquors. Appears orange with a medium sized head. Nose is fruity, with orange lemon and herbal notes. Flavor is robust and full-bodied, with ripe citrus and a bitter, hoppy finish. This is a stellar example of a juicy IPA.

Pour is a hazy orange with a average white head. Aroma is moderatly hoppy with some crystal malts. Flavor is again a very low hop with some malt and a soapy finish. Maybe this was a bad bottle but i think this was way off what a decent IPA should be.

Pours a decent dark golden with a thin cream colored head. Nose is rich with pineapple and caramel but the flavor goes much more earthy and a bit gritty. Very bitter, lasting finish.

Bottle, sampled at Christmas during family beer tasting. Amber color with a smallish sized head. Aroma of caramel, grass, earth, citrus and pine. Flavor was a bit watery and lacking great flavor. It was very earthy and grassy, which I was not too big a fan of. Really just an ok version of the style.

Glowing golden tan adorned with poofy head. Enticingly piquant aroma of hop fields. Chinook tickles the nose with an infusion of pine and evergreen forest and a light touch of grapefruit. Aroma translates well to flavor with Chinook dominating. Spicy evergreen forest flavor with the finish of grapefruit. Excellent bitterness. An IPA lovers IPA all the way.
