Commercial Description:
Our version of the IPA beer style possesses a deep golden hue, rich malty flavor, a bold, complex, and enduring hop finish and is extremely full bodied. We dry hop this brew and use a combination of Fuggles and Chinook hop varieties resulting in an extremely enticing floral and spicy aroma as well as hop character. Great Western Two Row Pale Malt, De Wolf-Cosyns' Caravienne and Munich Malts are combined to achieve an initial specific gravity approaching 1.065.

Wow. 22 oz bomber. Nice orangish color. Decent head. Hoppy citrus nose. HUGE pine/grapefruit/hop flavor which does diminish as it warms. Most beers I have tried with this much flavor are in the 8-9% range. At $3 and change a bomber WELL worth it.

Nice grapefruit with some Juniper and yeast. Cloudy somewhat muted color. Smooth yet potent hoppiness. Slick start with a drying finish on the tounge. Bitter finish

From bottle, no 8 at Papsoes blindtasting. Pours hazy orange and with a collapsing white head. Pineapple and grapefruit aroma, sweet and fruity citric. Dry hoppy and with slight liqourice note. Has a mild sweetness lingering in with the sweet and slight liqourice flavours. Ends with a mellow to dry bitterness. Has a continued sweetness following this.

#8 [Blind tasting session @ Papsoe 30-11-2007] Huge thick off-white head that mostly lasted. Excellent lacework. Muddy golden color. Pine, grapefruit, citrus, elderflower. Fruit, caramel and light grain like notes over the palate with heavy floral bitterness. Full bodied with a dry texture and an average carbonation. Moderated bitter flavor with light sweetness. Dry bitter floral finish. My guess is an IPA.

Hazy golden color; big fluffy head; nice perlage. Very intense aroma of citrusy hops, very fruity, grapefruit, sweet; later, some crispy cookies and hop flowers too. Medium body strength, the malt and caramel flavor are almost completely overwhelmed by the fat hopping, very resiny and lightly fruity. The resins agressiveness is too high in the end. Crazy lack of balance, but I still love hops...

2007-11-30, Papsø’s Blind Tasting, 8-4-7-4-15=38
Cloudy golden color; big head. Very nice hoppy aroma, fruity and flowery. Medium body, not thick but nevertheless quite sweet, strong and aromatic hopping. The only defaut is a too high bitterness and astringency at the end: the hops have been used to death. Very good.
