pivo (2535), Germany May 20, 2007 Floral hop aroma, amber color, big frothy head. Medium malt body gives way quickly to a sharp tight bitter. High resolution hop flavor. Nice one. bhensonb (4189), Woodland, California, USA May 8, 2007 Aromas of citrus and pine. Where’s the purity? Slightly hazy golden color with a significant white head that does some lacing. Full mouthfeel. Starts with hop. Sort of resin followed by grapefruit. The malt is definitely second fiddle. The rest of the story is hop. Long hoppy finish. LIke it might never end. Every mouthfull is a burst of evergreen followed by citrus. Way cool. Seriously, it has a cooling effect in the mouth. 5000 (2409), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA May 5, 2007 Bottle: Dirty golden, soft haze, large rocky off-white head, fairly nice lacing.   Solid nose of hops and citrus peel, with mild
hints of tea leaves.   Stronger tea leaf on the tongue, hops and citrus peel are a bit muted.   Clean, no real detractions to speak
of.   Could use a bit more malt, but I say that about most of my beers.   Just seems a little less than moderate in body.
Lingering citrus peel and tea leaves.   Definitely a softer hop bite of an IPA, but still worth having again.   I wonder how this
would be fresh and on draught.
fakepurseninja (773), Washington, USA Apr 24, 2007 Solid. Lots of hops on the nose. Very citrusy with sharp, sharp hop presence highlighted by some nice spicyness. Some old oak and floral notes on top of a medium bodied, but somewhat bland and forgettable malt base. Nice looking in the glass. WSSmiles (124), Columbus, Ohio, USA Apr 15, 2007 Poured a cloudy orangish gold body with a white head. Diffinitely a grapefruit taste with a hint of alcohol. Not bad IPA.
Tmoney99 (4661), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Apr 10, 2007 Bottle from River’s End. Poured hazy brown color with a large frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Medium citrus bitter and a medium smooth bitter finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer. brewsnobby (4), Maple Valley, Washington, USA does not count Apr 10, 2007 Love the cloudiness and little floaties in this one. The big chewy, fruity kick up front makes this one special. Decent spice in the middle, and tasty bitter, grapefruit finish. overall, one of my favorite IPAs. hapjydeuce (765), Del Mar, California, USA Apr 7, 2007 good appearance, light amber with white head and moderate lacing. classic IPA aroma of fresh cut hay (the hops coming through) and pine. pretty floral. the flavor wasnt that great, was expecting more sweet citrus notes, but it was mostly just a watery hops feeling. the hops were great, but malts and citrus could have been more prominent. average IPA
