mrhoppy (209), Santa Clara, California, USA Jun 3, 2009 I don’t know what it is but I have had several of these foam all over the place out of the bottle. Once the foam subsides what’s left tastes pretty good. Hank1980 (734), Athens, Georgia, USA Jun 1, 2009 Bottle. Poured really clear orange gold, with light lace. Aroma of citrus hop, light grain, mild sweet malt. Taste is similar, and the hp bite is a little lighter than I expected. It’s a little more malty and grainy than I would have expected from the brewers of Hopsickle. Not a bad IPA, but not really anything too special. I will try again to make sure I didn’t have an older bottle - though since they just came to GA, it should be fresh. Overall, an okay brew, and an okay IPA. Defreni (994), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 1, 2009 Flaske: Flot orange klar øl med et stort skumhoved. Duften er gennemtrængende kattepis. Dejlig bitter IPA i smagen, godt balanceret. Man skal bare ikke lugte til den. Theis (3617), Denmark May 31, 2009 Bottle at home - shared with Mette & Morten. Clear amber - offwhite head. Medium hoppy, grass, spicy, peppery, bitterness, light cheese, knækbrød (swedish flatbread), sweetness, light carboard, light oxidation. Ok. monkeychugg55 (213), Joliet, Illinois, USA May 28, 2009 Updated: Aug 31, 2009Pours a clear golden orange with a small white head that leaves some nice lacing. Aroma is loud citric hops, lemongrass, pine, (chinook), with an underlying earthy bread and sweet caramel malt background. The flavor on this one is quite interesting. Starts piney and grassy, with some subtle sweetness, then the alpha acids kick in and everything gets bitter. Some chalky bitterness fades in at the back of the throat. Mouthfeel is thick and carbonation is low. Wonder how many IBUs they packed into this one, I’ll guess 97. CheersMate1 (766), Atlanta, Georgia, USA May 26, 2009 Underrated, big time! Nice fluffy head with a transparent copper/orange hue. Good looking IPA! Huge pungent pine hop aroma. A very fresh and crisp hop aroma. A very nice IPA aroma; one of the best if you ask me. Slight citrus aroma as well, but the hops dominate. Very big pine hop taste. The flavoring and bittering hop are both an extreme pine hop flavor. A very fresh hop taste as well. Not a very creamy palate, but the beer is still relatively smooth. The bittering hop flavor is simply awesome. Overall, this beer has a hop profile to it that exceeds its current ranking. I don’t understand why it is underrated, but oh well. Fine brew indeed. HonkeyBra (1264), Lemont, Illinois, USA May 15, 2009 Golden orange pour with nice white head. Aroma of strong resinous hops, some flower hops, and sweet caramel malt. Flavor is bitter resinous hops, that grow ever more bitter until the clean, dry pine finish. Nice, creamy mouthfeel. Pretty impressive IPA. CapnCascade (116), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Apr 25, 2009 Golden orange, mostly clear pour; dense white head with good retention and lacing. Huge floral hop aroma, very sweet with a hint of Honeysuckle and no pineyness. Surprisingly dry flavor given the wildly sweet nose--slightly grassy with a long, bitter finish. Creamy mouthfeel, well balanced carbo.
