Head quickly disappeared showing a hazy amber. Very piney taste that sticks with you. Lots of hop resin in this one. Very nice - tastes almost like a DIPA.
SECOND ANALYSIS: Pure grapefruit in the aroma. Has said resins, but is also immensely floral.
THIRD ANALYSIS: This stuff fresh is the bees knees! Pure floral goodness! HighGravity (891), Baltimore, Maryland, USA

Aroma is lovely oily fresh hops and sweet, sweet malt. Tastes very oily indeed, with nice grapefruity herbal hops and light malting. Light carbonation and creamy body. Tasty IPA! Huge pungent pine hop aroma. A very fresh and crisp hop aroma. A very nice IPA aroma; one of the best if you ask me. Slight citrus aroma as well, but the hops dominate. Very big pine hop taste. The flavoring and bittering hop are both an extreme pine hop flavor. A very fresh hop taste as well. Not a very creamy palate, but the beer is still relatively smooth. The bittering hop flavor is simply awesome. Overall, this beer has a hop profile to it that exceeds its current ranking. I don’t understand why it is underrated, but oh well. Fine brew indeed. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 18, 2006 Extremely heavy white head. High carbonation levels in this beer. Pale gold body, yet cloudy. Aroma is very minimal though hops are evident. Excellent hops in the flavor, yet with some fruits that seem to clash a bit with the hops. Pallet is somewhat harsh, not smooth enough for my preference. ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 15, 2006 Colossal cornucopia of flowers, spruce & pine, spice, etc., etc. I’m drooling like a
Pablovian dog. The brew pours a honey amber. The mammoth head is about as big as a
beer head can be. 1st pour = 1/4” of brew, the rest of the pint glass is head. The head is
rocky, off white, stiff, fully lasting, and leaves behind perfect globs of lace sticking to the
sides of the glass. The flavor has outstanding balance for the style. A floral malt start
moves to a spicy acidic middle. The finish though decent could be more bitter. The light
body is creamy and soft, the finish feels a tad dry. Very sophisticated for the style. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 18, 2006 Bomber which unfortunately exploded upon opening, sending five or so ounces onto the floor and into the sink. Doh! Otherwise, poured a cloudy orange with a huge merange-like craggy tan head, mostly lasting and leaving stripes of lacing. Aroma of grapefruit and piney hops, spice, a bit of soapiness and some tree sap as well. Very hoppy flavor, spicy, with rich caramel butter-toffee malt foundation. Almost reminiscent of an imperial. Medium palate-smooth. Nice lingering resiny hop bitterness on the finish. From what I salvaged this is a very good left coast IPA. Quite surprised the average rating isn’t higher.
