A bit of a letdown...Not bad, I was just hoping for a more potent, lingering finish. There’s not a whole lot of taste at the front, a little in the middle, and not much on the end.

Good nice head, thick small bubble whip. Nice amber color. Smooth citrus with a nice pine hop aroma. Nice bitter and small malt with a grapefruit slightly dry finish.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2009 form a 22oz - pours like an olympic golden medal and a little hazy with some sediment and a 1.5" solid white head - leaves notches of lacing all down the glass - taste is where this beer shines - an outstanding west coast ipa with earthy hops up front and malt sweetness on the finish - creamy mouth feel - reminds alot of stone ipa with less bite on the finish - wish they made sixers of this

Love the cloudiness and little floaties in this one. The big chewy, fruity kick up front makes this one special. Decent spice in the middle, and tasty bitter, grapefruit finish. overall, one of my favorite IPAs.

OK brew, and I wouldn’t throw it out of bed, but not sure if I’ld give it a sympathy shag. The aroma is very promising, but fleeting. Dark straw color, poor lacing on my crystal goblet. A little thin on the tounge, but great hop flavor. Mmmmmnn. I’ld buy another, I guess.

First enjoyed several years back from a 22 oz bottle and thought it was....pretty good, but not great. Certainly not up there with Bell’s Two-Hearted Ale or Racer 5. However....had it on tap in DC recently and was remarkably impressed. Ordered and received a keg yesterday and have just sampled for the first time: WOW! This stuff rules. It is so crisp, so clear, so wonderful. It is not overly piney like Green Flash West Coast IPA, and yet it has more depth and complexity than Two-Hearted. Beautiful lacing on the glass, unusually light in color for an IPA, but simply magnificent. The keg conditioning makes ALL the difference. This one is truly special boys and girls. The only drawback is cost: $210/keg.
